Hmmm with this build, with no changes from 9.6, its generally slower, with random lockups. I dont know whats up. I am moving back to 9.6.

I have yet to have a lockup on any phone flashed with the unified kitchen thus far.

Slower.... a tiny little bit yes. I lowered the file cache'ing on this revision ironicly enough, to stop random lockups.

Is there anything in particular you are doing when your phone locks? How is it locking up, does it slow down first, or just freeze in place? when/if it freezes can you still turn the backlight on and off by hitting the power button? Thanks!

Almost have everything worked out from page 1, and I have learned a LOT about this new kitchen. Im hoping to get some "fun" ringtones in there, fix the screen (wich is a pain in the freakin @ss, everytime i edit the new files this kitchen introduced to re-theme them, they show compression artifacts). Hitchiker removed, and the weather thing... that is a W.I.P. ... im creating a "hybrid" install that combines files from 1.5 and 1.7 (1.5 was the last release that had integrated weather.com and intellicast as options for forecasts.... ie. get city weather by zip-code). Making progress, but hex editing DLL files is a b*tch. Working on forcing the registry to just point to the new *.tpl files without having to build the directory structure and take up non-ROM room in storage. Well see how it ends up working out here shortly. Ive also cleaned up the registry some and moved some of my changes to the LOC & OS folders to remove the chance that my reg files will not write after the hive is built (happens once in a while during a build and i have to start over). Lucky its a slow weekend haha. Anyways, i hope to have it built up by tonight or tomorow and then I will feel comfortable leaving it "as-is" for some time. Thank you for helping me out with the new kitchen.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

And to not be a complete d*ck... heres the files you were looking to change bro...overwrite them with your own, or grab them from the FTP in the file WM6 Theme v1.0.1.zip if you want to use the "default" ones.
(NOT ACTUALLY PNG FILES F.Y.I.)

dlrback_land.png (the dialpad background file for landscape)
dlrback_port.png (the dialpad background file for portrait)
welcomehead.96.png (2nd splash screen)

you cant change the original splash without tempting fate and possibly bricking your phone so im not going to tell you how, (hint, its in a sticky on editing your ROM)

Big J - after a lot of research and reading most of the forum messages about new ROMs, I ventured out and Flashed my virgin Sprint 6700 with 9.6... I LOVE IT! Good job Big J!

Only thing I will change is the LCD not flashing and to use MARS weather. I like the SAT images with animation and animated icons.

I also need the Bluetooth PAN fix but I think I will wait until this is stablized a little more before reflashing.

Thanks! iwayguy.

A little OT - does anyone know how do I get the 'current' weather to display on the Weather Plugin on this ROM ? I see only the day temperatures etc - but not the 'current'. Also is there anyway to get hour-by-hour details of weather forecast ?

ya, try setting the OPTIONS to update "EVERY HOUR"

........

9.6 has the bt pan fix built-in, as does this ROM.

.......

checking my PM's now after taking a break to watch some "Shield" episodes... good show.

Looks like the problem lies with PhoneAlarm. I disabled it, and it no longer has any problems (at least in the last 24 hours), other then being slightly slower then 9.6. Ill keep testing.
