Syncing after WM 6.1 Upgrade

I did an upgrade to WM 6.1, but I can't sync now. It doesn't show up anymore in Sync center. What can it be?

What build are you using. Plus Mobile device center is SO flaky. You might need to restart your machine. I've never had any problems on XP so I know it aint WM6.1, it's Vista.

I am using Vista but Sync center worked before. I don't know how to find the build. Are there any other programs to use to sync up?

Hey, i just did an upgrade to WM 6.1 and now i can't do internet sharing. Have i made the biggest mistake of my life by upgrading?

No you haven't. What happens is you have to find the sweetest ingredients in the kitchen. More trash you put in the worse it's gonna be, more you take out the less chance of problems. If you're putting a lot of stuff in then that's probably the first thing I would undo. I haven't had a whole lot of problems with WMDC. If there ever is restarting the machine will do it.

I always have trouble syncing after reflashing my Apache. I think the problem is that Vista recognizes it as a different phone and won't try to sync with it and screw everything up. This is what I do and it always works. Make sure your phone is unplugged and open task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) and end process mobsync.exe. Then plug your phone in. Then go to Start > All Programs > Windows Mobile Device Center and your phone should sync.

You can still do ICS with 6.1 but like was said earlier, you need to add the right things in the kitchen to make it work. Trail and error my friend. Thats all I can telly ou on that one. We all have been down that road.

Personally I would delete all partnerships in WDMC or maybe even uninstall it and reinstall it and so from there. But then again you got Vista and I feel so bad for you that you got ripped by Vista AKA Mojave. I did the Vista for a while and it was nice eye candy but not worth having at the exspense of all the un-needed apps and services running in the background chewing away at system resources and processing power and so I went back to XP Pro.

I'm so frustrated. I couldn't get it to sync or show up on my computer. I reinstalled the newest WMDC and it worked for a bit, but it doesn't anymore. I guess I will have to reflash the ROM any way to start fresh. Maybe I put too much crap on it. Any suggestions?

Sometimes, I've found the WMDC doesn't exit properly and that has caused several issues for me with syncing my phone. I usually just have to open up task manager and kill wmdc.exe, then start up WMDC again and it will then recognize and sync with my phone.

I forgot to mention that. I've done that a few times too. I haven't had any problems with these latest builds of WM6.1, except for Lenny's.
