Cannot execute\Windows\MortPlayer\MPNotify.exe

Anybody know how to fix this error message I get every time the phone comes out of standby "Cannot execute\Windows\MortPlayer\MPNotify.exe"?

The folder/file is in Windows\MortPlayer\MPNotify.exe from the ROM install, but I have no idea what is calling the file to execute, or to fail and produce the error message every time the phone is turned back on.

This is on a new/clean install of PR6.

Thanks,
Chris

Update:
Did a hard reset and loaded all my apps again...seems to be fine now. Noticed that there isn't a \Windows\MortPlayer\MPNotify.exe folder this time around...just \Windows\MPNotify.exe.

ChrisFix,

I don't know what caused your original problem, but FYI both paths \Windows\MortPlayer\MPNotify.exe and \Windows\MPNotify.exe are valid.

Thanks,
I don't know what was going on with this either, just thought it was interesting that it created the directories a little different the second time around. What seems strange is that the error notification was correctly stating the directory path, and the files were all there, so why it wouldn't execute is anyone's guess.

Regards,
Chris

raptoreb Was not sure what you were asking in your first question? As to the second, all recomended hacks are in the rom.

kwyatt: Humm that is interesting. MAy want to doa broad search of the board for the keywords it gave in the error. If you fix it lets us know what it was.

bro4ever: Sounds like another app has maybe hijacked your notifications tab. May want to check it agaoin after a hard reset. I have not heard of any other reports of this and could not repo it myself. I do not have a Nokia phone to try a transfer, Anyone else able to test this?

ChrisFix: I believe \Windows\MortPlayer\MPNotify.exe is created after the app is launched. It could be another app casuing issue on the device. After your hard reset you may want to add your apps back one at a time looking to see if you have the issue in between installs.

I think my PPC6700 is starting to go...
Looks like the radio may be cutting out as I am begining to have issues with placing and receiving calls. I did a reset to the last sprint Rom (this reloaded the latest sprint radio rom), then back to the PR6 Rom as I know it was working prior and am still seeing issue . I am getting error daily at this point.

Anyone else seeing the following:
1- Try to place call, call stays at connecting.
2- Hang up, Re-try call. Get error dialog on the line of low to no signal at full bars.
3- soft reset phone (same position - not driving).
4- works again.

Also:
Phone shows full bars but incoming call does not ring or bring up dialer app. Soft reset corrects issue.

Just want to verfiy if this is being seen by anyone else with my rom??? I am going to revert back to the Offical sprint 2.2 for a day or so to verify that it is not the ROM (do not believe it is the case). I spoke to my local sprint store and they are telling me that I can not get another 6700 as they are out and will not get more so this ROM may need to get handed off to someone else as I amy not be able to dev or test any longer.
Either way, I am going down fighting. They are going to have to pass me up the ladder to satisfy this sprint customer. I pay for equipment protection for a reason and since I do dev work on the 6700 and have asesories for it, getting a treo as a replacement was not satisfactory (more so since I got rid of a treo for the 6700).
Anyhow, I am just covering my bases before I start a getting into it with them so we will see how things go.

saridnour,

A couple of times, I've gotten a lockup when trying to answer an incoming call. But I've had no issues such as you describe.

I hope you can get this resolved!

funny you should say that. Phone has been experiencing major radio problems. After soft reset may take 6 or 7 times till radio turns on. Also have issue with phoen just saying connecting. Going out of town so dont have any time to play right now but was going to load original rom and see if problem continued otherwise I would take it in. Let me know what ya find out. Great rom by the way
