There's an extra step with the new ROM's.

First, make sure you do the fake server manual setting trick. Then go into your phone settings - services, and disable "time synchronization". This prevents activesync loading everytime your phone syncs with your provider - IE Sprint, Verizon.

I still don't understand your double icons. After a fresh install of pr6, you definitely shouldn't have that. That's why I wondered about your hard-resetting method. It sounds to me like pr6 hasn't been installed correctly. Or there might be the possiblilty that you restored some things (maybe inadvertantly) from a previous rom? With VC, do you have the full 1.6 version -- not the trial? And I guess you simply copied voicecmd.exe to windows directory and changed the #5 button? That's all you have to do to install VC. This is all I can think of. Saridnour and others can give you more expert advice, I'm sure!

Just wondering, my phone is having major issues and I'm ready to install a new firmware. I'm hoping to install your latest version (as I have pr5), but is there a pr7 maybe coming up where I can hold off a little while longer?

Hey jendand. I fixed the duplicates yesterday with the fix that hwnstyle21 recommended. The only problem im having now is that I cant find the windows live code. I dont know how to fix my vc, it keeps saying that it "cannot save all changes" I dont know which vc I have. its the one thats already there in pr6, when I go to start-settings-personal-voice command The two top box options (enabled) and (password protected), only (password protected) will remain checked. The (enabled) box does not stay checked when I hit ok to close the program, so it does not work. down in the lower right, it says v1.60.4622.0 and thats all I can see there. I would also like to find an spb code. other than that, I cant listen to my music via bluetooth with this new rom. I rally cant even think of anything else. I dont know if this rom is the new wm6, or just an almost perfect attempt in creating the closest thing to a mini laptop setup, but im luvin it baby! this rom is the cutting edge of all the devices that are out right now.! Anyone that has any helpful information on what im focusing on accomplishing, by all means feel free to inform me. thanks again in advance to everyone that is a part of this progressive momentum.

prettytonydotnet: You need to read my first post as this details how to install voicecommand as I did not install the vc exe as this is an app you have to purchase and could not be given out. All the pieces of vc are in the rom but the exe to get as much out of memory but keep the app unusable unless purchased.
The first post gives all thedetails and updates about this rom

Thanks saridnour, that makes sense. I have saw the question asked before about purchasing the vc exe, however, I dont believe that I have seen the source. do I purchase it from sprint or is it a separate program? also, im wondering how kirvin got windows live into his custom rom. I had it and was using it and loved it, but I cant find it in your rom, how do I go about fixing that? I saw something about the bluetooth and using the mort player to listen to my music via bluetooth or something to that degree, so im going to reread that to get clarification. Also ive been wondering, is this rom windows 6 or a kick ass more advanced version of five? or a more advanced version of 6? or standerd 6 with a few add ons or what? remember im very new to the whole rom flashing thing, so bear with me. Thanks for the info and I luv pr6 baby! YEEEEEEA!

As to your question of what OS this is then it is WM5 that saridnour has added a lot of stuff too. I guess that would make it a kick ass version of WM5.

Only issues I've seen (pr6 on Verizon phone)...
1. Voice Command, doesn't announce calls.
2. Phone dialer <- arrow button does nothing but make a bing noise.
3. Speaker phone option grayed out / doesn't work
4. ## commands don't work (tried ##768, ##328873, and ##328873#)

Everything else is great, I haven't seen any freezes or anything else weird.
