direct push

I can't seem to find it anywhere searching, but does this ROM (or any 3.5 or 3.3 ROM) come with the direct push exchange email? When you go to the wireless manager in AKU2 you can see a button for direct push. This ROM seems to only have buttons for phone, bluetooth, and wifi...

re: direct push

Looks like I kinda answered my own question. I sent a few test emails to my exchange account and my phone picked them up within a few seconds of my desktop client every time without me manually doing a send/receive.

Need Help

This may or may not have been answered but The rom flash works great and i love the layout and design of the entire rom the only issue I am having is with two things. A error with Saddemon when it starts up saying it can't be found or needs to be reinstalled. Also my contacts tries to pull up and immediately is closed.

I think i found the answer to the Saddemon issue on the thread but the contacts thing makes the rom basically useless unless i can pull them up. Pleas help if you can.

MrS,

The two things that I know of that can cause flashing contacts are 1) restoring a pim.vol from a previous rom (use activesync instead to restore contacts) and 2) hard-resetting incorrectly. As to the latter, hold down the two soft keys (marked with -) next to the four-way while soft resetting. Hope this helps.

I am using activesync to push them back onto the phone from outlook. And as far as the reset goes I will give that a shot.

Update... Looks like that worked and I am not getting he saddemon error as well after doing the reset that way. As well all the contacts are working.....

SWEETTT

I will play with it now to see what else i can do hopefully i can finally get mms. I did not allow the verizon customizations to run as well. That was ok right.

Uhh, Sards first post on this thread was edited on 4/16 s it hasn't been too long folks, I think everyone has been takin' care of issues well. Additionally, he may be waiting for the ppcgeeks 3.5 before releasing again, who knows, I sure don't, but I would guess, and hope, that he's doin' just fine...

I am still having the problem of Voice Command not announcing the incoming callers. It runs programs fine and the other functions all seem to be running ok.

Here are a couple of things I noticed that might be related to the problem:

- The ringer is always at the loudest volume, no matter how much I lower it, unless I lower it totally off.

- When I go to voice command options, it only displays "announce calendar reminders." On the OEM ROM it used to have options for "announce new messages," "announce incoming calls" and several others. So I'm thinking this might have something to do with it also.

I tried installing Voice Command separate to the ROM (and removed voicecmd.exe from windows to avoid interference) but that didn't change anything at all.

Any ideas as to how to fix this??

It's been a while since I ran Sards rom, but I sure didn't have that problem. You may need to do another hard reset to get VC working right. I assume you are using the full ver of 1.6 right?

It says on the first page that the smartdialer works in this version. I assume that means the ability to type a few keys on the phone pad and it shows you the contacts that match those letters? I ask because I just checked my phone app and it doesnt seem to be able to do that. I did apply an iphone theme for the phone app so maybe that is what the problem is? Can anyone confirm that smartdialing does indeed work on a fresh flash?

P.S. THANKS Saridnour!! Awesome rom!
