Re: Stuck in new Bootloader 2.04/2.05 from the bell/VZW 3.3 ROM, Help is here now

I'm stuck in the bootloader as well with 2.05. Tried mtty, no luck, tried UNI_Exitbootloader, no luck. Tried hard resetting it 5 times, no luck. Tried soft resetting it 5 times, no luck. It's a VX6700, but I haven't been able to even flash the stock OEM rom. What should I do?

Re: Stuck in new Bootloader 2.04/2.05 from the bell/VZW 3.3 ROM, Help is here now

My phone has the 2.05 bootloader version but the ROM is "3.61.00 WWE" I want to downgrade the bootloader as well to 2.02 but would I use the same process as indicated in this thread, or would mine be different since I don't have the "Bell/Verizon 3.3 ROM"? Thanks.

There is no reason to downgrade Bootloaders. I have told people that time and time again... The only difference with the 2.05 is the ROM flashing captivity. But, if you are putting that many apps in there to fill up all the space then you more than likley will have a very trashy ROM...

Re: Stuck in new Bootloader 2.04/2.05 from the bell/VZW 3.3 ROM, Help is here now

Everything worked good for me until the hard reset. Now I'm stuck with the bootloader screen and can't get past it. I tried running the update again, and it says it's updating fine but restart gives me nothing but bootloader screen - says "Serial v2.02" when not connected and "USB v2.02" when connected. Any ideas?

Guess I should add - VX6700 - was standard Verizon WM5 with AKU33

Found the fix - this thread explained how to exit bootloader when stuck in it: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...Exitbootloader

Re: Stuck in new Bootloader 2.04/2.05 from the bell/VZW 3.3 ROM, Help is here now

OKay... checking all 5 pages... anything for upgrading a Sprint 6700SP BL to 2.xx? Currently at 1.00 I'm a TOTAL N00B, and I wanna convert my(salvage) Sprint to Verizon as a backup to a flaky LG. (You'd be surprised at what you can find in a garbage bin) Natch the V_Store says "Can't be done", but we all know that's B.S. Also, have looked at the Tut.'s, anybody ever do a Tutorial to convert AND upgrade the 6700? Like I said, I'm a n00b and I'd feel better if I had a walk-thru. Thanx temp-999

You can't chage out the 1.xx series with the 2.xx series You don't need to change it. 1.00 is the best bootloader.

First post...be gentle

i am running Windows vista home premium SP1 and do the RUU update...I have bootloader v2.05 which I realize must be the problem so I read the instructions on how to downgrade problem is ...every time i try to do this the RUU in Vista Crashes and thus stops my update...also I am unsuccessful in trying to downgrade to 2.04...as those instructions will not work either for my XV6700....either way RUU crashes...i must be doing something wrong yet i have followed instructions step by step as i have read them..and searched for other alternatives ...

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Re: Stuck in new Bootloader 2.04/2.05 from the bell/VZW 3.3 ROM, Help is here now

Model Phone: Verizon xv6700
OS of Computer: Windows XP SP2 with .Net 2.0 framework SP1
Device was running AKU 3.3
Device CE image: 207.20
Device Extended image: 2.07.206
Device Radio image: 1.10.00

I followed directions and reverted the boot loader to v2.02
Launched the Kitchen & received my updates.
Configured it for Verizon and hit build. It pops up with the first screen showing the detailed instructions..I hit next.
I receive error 100: Model Error - "The model image that you are trying to use is not designed to work on your device"

I have looked around this wonderful forum, and cannot seem to find where I have gone wrong. I see so many success stories, that I am growing increasingly jealous.

Can someone possibly help trouble shoot this with me?

Thanks so much!

Bob

Re: Stuck in new Bootloader 2.04/2.05 from the bell/VZW 3.3 ROM, Help is here now

First off I wish this "help is here" non-sense would removed. This is one of the worst guides that will mess up your bootloader. But since you can't revert it now... Make sure you use "NoID" RUU and have v2.02 selected in REV box. I also wish this guide would at least tell people that you now have to use NoID RUU. There is nothing wrong with bootloader 2.05... I see no reason for this "fix".
