I tried it - but got a warning during CreateOS since btd.dll already existed; it skipped the new one.

It needs to go in the OS anyway, so will hope for Kitchen project to release it someday.

I'm trying to connect my 6700 to a Belkin F8T030 Bluetooth Access Point and for the life of me I cannot get it to work. Here is what I have done so far:

1. Pair my 6700 with the AP. It pairs just fine however under Partnership Settings, it shows no services to use.

2. Under Configure Network Adapters, modifed the Bluetooth PAN Driver to use specific IP address of 192, 168, 1, 3 and gateway of 192, 168, 1, 2 (the IP address of the AP).

3. Under Internet Sharing, connect to Bluetooth PAN (PC Connection) and Sprint PCS Vision (Network Connection). This works (it would always fail before this fix).

4. Go to IE and try to navigate to the AP (192, 168, 1, 2). IE would dial Sprint PCS and obviously not find the AP. This is where it gets confusing. What I want IE to do is to use the BT PAN connection not the Sprint PCS connection. I tried numerous communication settings but IE would always dial Sprint PCS. If I disabled the Phone, Internet Sharing would not connect.

5. Under Network Managment, edited the Sprint PCS Vision connection and changed the modem from Cellular Line to Bluetooth. The Bluetooth modem was not accepted because there were no services to select (see #1).

6. I'm not sure what BT stack the Belkin AP is using but I doubt it would be Microsoft.

7. With my XP laptop, I can browse the AP web page using the Bluetooth PAN. I have not tried to connect my 6700 to my laptop.

This is very important. My company is working with Seattle University on a senior class project and I have 4 students waiting for me to show them some magic. Any help would be most appreciated.

I need my 6700 to connect to the Bluetooth AP. We're writing an application that will use HTeTeP Request/Response to retrieve data from a blackbox web server that is connected to the Bluetooth AP with Ethernet. The application uses BT to retrieve data from the blackbox and WiFi to send the data to our company servers. I figure that if I can get IE to bring up the blackbox webpage, then I got it licked.

So the hardware looks like:

6700 <-> Bluetooth <-> Bluetooth AP <-> Hardwired Ethernet <-> Blackbox

Sorry, I had to spell HTeTeP that way because of the 'new user' rules about not allowing web content.

BTW - Many thumbs up for what you have accomplished.

I'm pretty sure the reason it doesn't work is that the PAN profile is set to NAP mode, the role which your AP is already performing. You'll probably need to adjust the PAN registry settings to put the phone into PANU mode in order for it to be able to connect to the AP.

Unfortunately, the 6700 can not act as a PAN client at this moment. It can only act as a PAN server.

Maybe you can try accessing the network through WiFi or ActiveSync.
