Yep, worked for me as well, finally got a chance to test it...

Widcomm stack on the PC (XP)

With 2 bars at work, Internet connection sharing: speed tests

332kbps down/100kbps up (BT/PAN)
302kbps down/71kbps up (USB)

Kinda suprised that PAN beat USB, but it could just be signal differences

Rerun PAN...
242kbps down/71kbps up (PAN)

Yeah seems like it's just normal EVDO variance

It can't be OEM'd because it's part of the OS. You'd need to get it integrated into a ROM kitchen.

Um, that's what "OEM this" means...

I was under the impression that "OEM this" meant that you were creating OEM modules out of CAB files that go in the "OEM" directory for the ROM kitchen.
The actual OS files use a different procedure and can't be "OEM'd" as easily as the modules in the OEM directory.

I did it for my own use and tested it with the current "golden kitchen" under development - you need to pull the btd.dll folder from the base OS for it to work, but it compiles into the rom just fine.

My guess is, it will get moved into the base kitchen we're all working away on, so it should not *need* an oem module.

Yeah I tried it that way but could not get it to work. I will just wait for the official release. Thanks all for the help.

You don't need to uninstall the Microsoft drivers. Just install your manufacturer's drivers over it. Use any driver disc that came with your IBM, or get the drivers from here.

Grrr... I downloaded the driver from IBM, its still the same Microsoft Driver. Grrr....!

Works

I wanted to report back this fixed my BT PAN connection. I am running clean and simple ROM on Sprintpcs Red Logo 6700. I connected with a Widcomm stack on HP TC4200 running Vista and Samsung Q1 Bluetooth 2.0 running Vista. And both did not encounter any pairing or connection issues. Also its been a stable connection. thanks again.
