didnt work for me .
i've dell e1705 with in built toshiba bluetooth running vista business. couldnt find my xv6700 (with Kirvin's Clean and Simple 3.5) while searching for bluetooth device in bluetooth PAN. i think its because of microsoft stack in vista. and i'm still searching for other bluetooth software.

anyone had success with vista ???

OK, for users of the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack on XP, I just found an article that might help.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883259#

Searching for available services won't work so you'll have to pick the "Join a Personal Area Network" option under the Bluetooth icon.

If you're using Vista, you might want to look here.

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...964831033.mspx

It looks like you'd have to go to the "Network and Sharing Center" to get to the PAN services.

Let me know if any of these methods work.

This .cab is working perfect for me in vista. This is all I had to do:

1. installed the .cab
2. added the PPC to windows vista (via "Add a Bluetooth Device")
3. clicked connect in internet sharing /w bluetooth PAN selecteed
4. choose "Join a Personal Area Network" in Vista and tada it found it and worked.

thanks a TON. This seems to be a great fix.

BTW I'm using a Dell D620 with internal bluetooth using only drivers installed automatically with windows vista

RoniXt you are the man..

Here is the steps I took to get it to work.

1. on 6700 set "make this device discoverable to other devices"
2. Inserted my io gear bluetooth dongle.
3. From my laptop I searched for discoverable devices, it found the 6700.
4. I selected network access point.
5. on 6700 I entered the pass key and selected dial up networking.
6. on 6700 I launched Internet sharing app, selected bluetooth, and clicked connect.
7. from PC i double clicked the network access icon and vola it connected!

It works like a champ. I can use the 6700 to browse the web and my wife can use the laptop @ the same time....
