Internet Sharing

This rom works GREAT! The one issue I am having involves Internet Sharing. If I launch Internet Sharing, and then actually kill the application, I can't get it to launch again without soft reseting(minor issue).

im not sure how you are "killing" the application. I just set handyswitcher to ignore that particular application.

even with it not ignored... when i need to go back to it, its in the switcher dropdown list. if i use handyswitcher to kill it, it re-opens fine for me.

if you want to try my unified build, the wmodem app appears to be fully functional again as well.

Thanks for the feedback!

I installed the full O2, and I am using that to kill the internet sharing. I didn't like handyswitcher, so I stoped that from starting.

I tried wmodem last night, and that appeared to be fully functional(at least while I tested it), on this rom.

JBabey,

Just did some testing on the latest version, and great release. All I have to say is I am sticking with 9.5 due to more space and the items are better suited to my needs. I will say with all that is included in that ROM (9.6 and the 1.0), it runs very well and very smooth. Thanks again for your hard work. Can you PM me with details on where you obtained the other programs such as the games. Is the 9.4 version still around? Have you tried Resco Explorer 2007? It has a lot of improvements from the previous versions. I am asking for a free upgrade due to me being elegible. Take care, good luck on those test scores.

Andrew,

I finally went ahead and permanently deleted my extended ROM.

WOW it made a world of difference - I can't emphasize enough that it's a MUST DO on this ROM..IMO. After having only .o1mb of free space in the ExtROM it eventually forced me to follow the link given in the first post - which directs to here:

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/bigjs-revisi...start,180.html

It was a pain in the ass to go back to original SprintROM, lose my radio, retrieve my radio, then go through all the steps necessary to permanently delete this junk... but now I'm a proud new owner of a beautiful 10 mb of joy.

Yea, I use my Extended ROM for program install. Its great to have all the space plus it wont delete on a hard-reset so I can keep important files in there. Again, Jbabey, thanks a million.
