WMDRM is a good thing, it means the system recognizes it as a useable portion of your ROM.

I dont know why it wont run, lemme attach the two cab files, maybe they got corrupted.

Click Notifications TAB
Hit EVENT dropdown arrow

look for two entries

Messaging: New Message (Palm)
Messaging: New Text Message

set sounds to those and check the box that says "Play Sound"

+++++++++++++++++

if those are set, you can try setting it to something else... saving out of there and going back in and setting it again... worked for my co-worker who had the same issue (actually this was his suggestion) -thanks Brandon

if it continues to be a problem please let me know, and ill rebuild the ROM for you guys,

on a sidenote I use phonealarm so i personally dont have sounds set there for messaging, i turned phonealarm off and set sounds up, and they were working for me.

let me know!~ thanks!

that is so bizzare.... before you reflash make your config.txt autorun the cab file on a hard reset.... lemme make an autorun package for you real fast and ill do an edit. gimme 5 mins

EDIT: ok here you go, put this stuffs in the root of your extended_rom2 folder before you flash, when you boot up it will say "Customizing your device in 3 seconds" .... let it run, it will install phonealarm & the spMMS cab for you and reset. Post back your results plz

if your hard reseting and the sprint stuff is re-appearing in your ext.rom

that is a serious problem. ive seen it before. and its a long process to get them to stop re-appearing... let me walk you through it, its worth it though trust me! and may resolve a lot of the problems your having

~> reflash the latest Sprint ROM onto your phone

after bootup run the apache_ext.rom_unlocker and unlock your ext rom

run the apachehax.cab file to mod the registry to show you your newly unlocked ext.rom

soft reset

delete all of the contents in the ext.rom folder

hard reset, no customization screen should show up now

NOW you can upgrade to AKU 3.5 rom. and your ext.rom will STAY empty

+++++++++++++

i cant even begin to speculate why this happens and WHERE the hell the phone is storing your ext.rom crap when you delete it. I just know if you never modded your ext.rom prior to aku3.5 and then upgrade to a rom (like mine) that has it unlocked, every hard reset brings it back to its original state.

your phone MUST be in bootloader mode to flash, then use "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe"

+++++++++++++++++

to put in bootloader mode, hold button 5 (record button) and the power button at the top and hit the soft reset button on the bottom. the LCD will turn off and read the word "SERIAL"

now put it in the cradle and flash.
