There may be a way to update the date built into the ROM.

But PRL? That can't really be feasibly put in the ROM because the PRL is stored in the nonvolatile memory of the CDMA chip inside your phone. The ROM is totally different. Now the ppst.exe and PRL file could be put into the ROM so that it would insert the PRL onto your device when run but we would have to account for every carrier. Too much hassle.

It may be possible to do as an OEM package, but it's best off being manually installed for people who know what they're doing, or installed as a cab for people who don't.

Thanks - just throwing out ideas.

I know when I did the base helmi update at the time I was on on PRL 25 and it went back to PRL 24, as far as I know the current is 26.

Same thing with the date - it dropped it back quite a bit when I did the update.

I've read about other custom jobs where people are adding things like VC but I realize that since VC is a copyrighted package you couldn't distribute it in the base, but in order to save memory if I could drop it in easily without having to learn how to create my own custom job it would be nice.

I was going to try the new 1.2 beta but didn't notice the thread any more, I guess I'll wait for the collaboration project but I have to say I'm very pleased with the improvements they've made on the crap Sprint offers as a base.

Ok not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but on 3.5 ROMs (I think all of them, I'm not for sure on this). I've had a problem pretty rarely where a reminder trys to popup but doesn't.

I'll have the lightbulb at the top and the word remind for the left soft key but when I click it nothing happens. A soft reset fixes this but I haven't been able to find a different remedy. this Happens about once every 1-2 days.

Oh I'm runnning the 1.2 PR2 kitchen ATM but I think I had this issue with the 1.1 kitchen as well.

I just hard reset and flashed a rom from the latest build that my brother just cooked.

For some reason vibrate on both phones doesn't work. No matter what I do to try to get it to vibrate it doesn't.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Did you disable the LEDs? I can't think of the reg edit off of the top of my head at the moment, but disabling the flashing LEDs will often cause this. I know it is somewhere in one of my rom threads, but good luck in finding it . If noone else chimes in with it, I will try to dig it up later.

Thats what it was.. I guess the ROM was cooked that way because I did not turn them off myself. You can turn them back on with the PPC6700 hacks program.

Thanks again for the fast response!
