Re: 6700 battery life question
The battery life on a GOOD and QUALITY battery isnt really bad. But you are using generic japanese cell batteries which ALL suck. I have tried those bigger/better/badder batteries from ebay and they all were worse than a good reputable battery. I have a UTStar OEM battery and it will last all day on standby (unless I am in an area with no signal) and most of the evening (plus I am overclocked to 624Mhz).
So dump those fake batteries and get another UTStar or Seido battery.

Also, I assume you are turning off the WIFI radio and BT radio. If I inadvertently leave these on, 3-4 hours in standby is about right

Re: 6700 battery life question
Well yeah, why would i leave both WiFi and BT and Phone on all the time. This is the same as running my Dodge Ram with its modded HEMI down the roadway doing 90 and wondering why it uses so much gas. BT I can kinda understand but would would u need to leave WiFi turned on knowing good and well you never use it unless you are in a certain spot and if you are then you arent on for hours at a time and IF you are then you already know to carry a charger in the building or car.
Being for real about it, do a poll and see how many people run thier 67/6800 wide open all day with all BT/WiFi/Phone running. You wont find many and it isnt because of a battery drainage issue. Its a (non)usage issue. |

Re: 6700 battery life question
okay this iss how its run, no blue tooth or wifi (im not an idiot even on a laptop wifi eats like crazy) and phone on standby with a used ut starcomm i get like 30 minutes and then its down to 80%.
Iam hoping the new battery (oem starcomm extended) will give me better results. After how many charges does the oem batery become junk?, refering to my results. |

Re: 6700 battery life question
I second that. With the stock UTStar battery I usually got home with no less than 60% with normal use (factoring in a 10 minute charge in the car on my way to lunch). It just sounds like the batteries are worn out. I also agree the OEM or Seidio batteries are the best, compared to non-oem. I got one of those $10 batteries off ebay and it lasts about like my now 2 year old original, and for a while I thought it was just WM6, deal with it, etc. Then I got a new OEM. What a difference!

Re: 6700 battery life question
i use the oem battery...i have tried those big FAT batteries and they really just extra weight on your hip so what you need to do is find sum registry hacks and try those....cuz before i did the registry hacks my battery lasted round four or five hours with little use and the phone always was warm or either hot...but after the hacks i can go almost two days without a charge with minimum use....
