Re: 6700 battery life question

I doubt it. At least nothing "reliable" ie that will last more than a few months. Its a matter of energy density. IE you just need more material which takes more space.

If I ever manage to nab a second 6700 cheap I plan to see about putting the 1800 mah extended pack (with bump) into the phone without the bump.

The extended pack sticks exactly 1/4 inch out the back of the phone. SO I would need to find 1/4 inch of space and at least 1-1.5 mm of spae for the stock back cover. I could live with a 1mm bump. SO if I distend the back of the stock cover AND thin it by a mm all I have to do is get rid of 1/4 inch.

Question is how think is the two sides of the battery skin and how thick is the phone case skin below the battery (anyone got phone taken apart who can measure the thickness of the plastic below the battery?

When I have some extra cash I will buy another extended battery and sacrifice it to see whats inside.

WiFi is wireless networking. EVDO is cellular.

The 6700 has three "radios", the WIFI, the Bluetooth, and the phone (cellular). The more radios you have on the more power consumption, esp. the WIFI. The other big power eater is the backlight. So the EVDO will be phone and, most likely if you are using internet or texting, the backlight. So probably more power than a normal phone call where you can get by by telling the backlight to go off after 10 sec, e.g. while you are talking.

Re: 6700 battery life question

So i was looking around for a new battery and the one that came with my phone is a 1350mAh battery and i saw a 1500mAh thats the same size.
http://store.wmexperts.com/seidio-15.../8A37A1942.htm
would that little upgrade actually help give maybe 2 hours more batter life or so.

Re: 6700 battery life question

I hate to predict battery life in hours 'cuz it is so subjective. If you read some of the posts, even some of the upgrade ROMs (e.g. WM6 and 6.1) are reported to impact battery life. The 1500mAh Seidio is your best bet in a "normal" size battery (most recommended) but I haven't tried it out 'cuz it is kind of pricey (2X price for 10-15% more power?).

Since it was only $13 with shipping, I'm going to pick up another one as a backup.
This 1650 is the largest standard size battery that I've seen, is anyone aware of a larger (mAh)?
Hey Tony, where did you buy the 1650? I have a 1500 and I last maybe 3 hours. Crazy frustrating. How long does your 1650 last? And, is it the larger fat ones? I want to keep a slim one but this is rediculous. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!!!
