And if that doesn't work you should be able to flash a ROM while in bootloader mode. I suggest grabbing the one for your carrier from www.utstar.com

Its working, you guys are the shi..................... I am updating my apache software up to date....do I need to flash it again whens its done....because I no longer use sprint service.....I use cricket, does anyone know how to unlock the carriers on the phone to work with anybody...???? I just don't want to go and pay 30 bucks to get it done in town when I can follow instructions and do it myself....

I'm not familiar with Cricket, are they CDMA as well? More than likely the issue you are going to run into is the ESN... ESNs get assigned to carriers, and most carriers wont activate phones that dont have their ESN. You can change them, but 1, its not easy, and 2, its not legal in the US. Good luck, and glad we could help.

I've never used Cricket either, so I am unfamiliar with how they will re-provision your phone. I will say that re-provisioning is a complicated thing, so if you're pretty green with this stuff I would say just bite the bullet and pay them to do it.
