I'm not familiar with Cricket, are they CDMA as well? More than likely the issue you are going to run into is the ESN... ESNs get assigned to carriers, and most carriers wont activate phones that dont have their ESN. You can change them, but 1, its not easy, and 2, its not legal in the US.
