Heehee. I was just about to start writing up a wiki article roughly explaining the kitchen and how it works. I guess now's about as good a time as any to start, since it looks like there are a couple of folks who are all eager to go at it.

Snicker.

I am now uploading two files to Apache/sfaure03.

These are:

1. The rom i'm gonna run tomorrow.
2. The build environment i used to make that rom.. Its kinda how I believe we should drive towards organizing ourselves.

There is a prep.bat file that should make the environment for you. just be sure to have a copy of the kitchen in a sub-directory {read the batch file you will see.}.

If ya can read the batch file all should be "evident" and doable. run my prep script, and you should be able to rebuild my rom..

What I added to the base rom:

1. Crossbow look and feel. {as a patch to the base kitchen}
2. O2.
3. netcf2
4. PocketRar
5. Skype
6. Sprint ROM extensions.
7. TCMP
8. zaTelnet
9. Total Commander.
10. WM5NewMenu.
11. WM5Storage.
12. Batti2.1
13. ArcSoftMMS 3.0.16

Finally there are some registry tweaks I hijacked off of Colonel.

Enjoy.. Tweak as you like.

Hi guys! You're a very persistant bunch! Thank god for that! I'm using helmi's 3.3 exe rom at the moment. I have just one small question. I was under the impression that 3.5 was WM6? Now, I believe I was wrong? So no shiny GUI in this 3.5 rom kitchen huh?

sfaure03 and ImCoKeMaN u guys rock!...
congratulation guys.. I'm very glad with the improvement of this team work... keep up the good work guys..

btw about Smartdialing, the last supported/compatible AKU that work with HTC Smartdial is AKU3.3, so AKU3.5 is not compatible with HTC Smartdial but U might use this alternative app:

CeleDial looks good Helmi_c, if it does not exist already I'll work on an OEM for it.

I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS, all around, to EVERYONE. Great team effort. You don't see team effort like this on many boards, and it just shows why PPCgeeks is the best.

I have my 3.5 cooked rom working, and it rocks! The beauty of the Kitchen is that once it is up and running, you can move the OEMs you want from prior versions rigth over so quickly. It probably only took me 20 minutes to get 3.5 customized to my liking.

Thanks again to everyone!!!

Great job guys. Looking forward to learning the kitchen. Now, if only I could find the time to learn...

Helmi:

Thanks to YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

You gave us the kitchen, and challenged us, and now I finally have the ability to make my phone HOW I WANT IT, and change the way I have it WHENEVER I WANT!!!!

The kitchen is, without a doubt, the best WM5 tweak/adaptation/tool out yet for this, and its you're work gave it to us.

Heck, you even gave us the answer. We just spent too long looking for it.

On that note, and expecting to end up doing same for later AKU's, can you share with us which tool you use to cross check for module errors? I looked throught the rom builder outputs, as well as the extractors, but never saw anything that gave output like what you posted in you're 3.5 feed to us? I could make a tool to hunt for such things, if I could figure out where to have it look!
