I have a extra 6700 that I would be willing to give up at not charge money wise. I would give it up for simply making me a almost vanilla rom of whatever the latest new rom that is created using it.

Let me know if you want it.. I have am very grateful for the effort put forward by helmi, wideawake, colonel, chill and everyone else that has been working feverishly to make this almost usless to me device into something that I now enjoy.

PS.. the battery wont be spakin new but it works ;D.

Also I can make this a custom color if you like for spit and giggles. This phone is one that I had disassembled for painting but just havent had time to get around to doing it. I would rather paint it and put it back together than have gone through the tedious work of dissassmbly and reassembly for nothing. Now that there is some good reason for it to be back together again I will get to it.

thanks thejtiggidy, for me there is no difference, but plain black is always my favorite color... na, it does matter what the color as long I can mess around with it OS it would be fine for me...

Can we get an update on this guys?

kdoweb, Are you going to be able to send Mike that 6700 for Hemi?

Wideawake, Did you receive that donation ok? Have you received any others?

Did we decide whether we needed to gather some accessories?

To everyone else, Anyone care to kick in a few bucks to offset the costs to get this unit to Helmi? And if kdoweb can't donate his for some reason, does someone else have a unit (perhaps one that isn't registerable with Sprint or Verizon that they would be willing to donate, or sell cheap?

yea helmi just got back with me last night. I will be seeing how much it costs to ship on monday and seeing if I have the money. I also have to get him a charger for it. Good thing I work ar a cell store. Anyway ill keep yall posted. Probably will be mailed out by tuesday.

Mike,

I don't think any of us intended for you to come out of pocket to get this done, so please post what will be needed to get this done so we can pitch in.

Make sure whatever charger we consider getting is compatible with the power system in Helmi's home country. If it isn't 110VAC 60hz and plug compatible then we might be better off sending Helmi a 20 and letting him buy one locally.
