I am currently uploading my latest nk.nbf file to the ftp. I will try to keep this current as this is pretty easy to do and I don't have to package it with an installer. For those that know how to use it, have fun. It will probably get updated daily as I make minor improvements.

For anyone who prefers the big button dialers that didn't work with the new rom (no smartdialer), heres a link to one that does:

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/viewtopic.php?p=23493#23493

EDIT: I meant that I have been using the paulya skins based on eten, but those won't bring up the smart dialer with or without the reg hack on the new rom. this one does (and thanks to naigaboy for pointing it out to me!)

Not sure what you meant by the parenthesis, but to prevent confusion, it does have smart dial included and it is in the same skin.

I am not sure what it is since I did not put it there. I will be uploading the two beta 2s (Sprint and Verizon) shortly.

Good news though, I found a solution to my smart dialer color issues so I should have a beta 3 up this evening.

What other carriers do I need to include? Is there any junk in any other carrier ExtRoms that needs to be removed?

What was the solution and yeah new beta. Also, can you do a quick instruction on how to make the pop3 acct file setup cab, i would like that. Do you also have a method of getting text messages back after hard resets. tried to copy cemail.vol but i keep getting sharing error. dont know if anyone else tried it.

Actually all I did was steal (Yes I stole it) the bmps from that Wizard rom that was talking about earlier. They already match the black and look good.

As far as backing up messages, I still haven't found a solution to this.

Yeah, I will do a write up on the cab thing a little later today. I have to run to the store and then get the beta up. Once that is done, I will try to put together a how-to for not only email setup, but personal settings such as backlight, power, etc. Basically all those little things you have to go back and do after an install. I could just put them in the rom, but my preferences probably differ from others.

How About A HOWTO for ROM Editing?

Having built a rom using the method you are currently using and trying to figure out the kitchen, I think this method is superior. At least until there is a decent writeup on creating ROM modules from existing cab installs.

That being said, can you do a writeup on how to modify the above mentioned settings in the dump prior to building the ROM? That would be helpful for people who would like to build a ROM ready to fly, so to speak...

Thanks for all your work!
