Okay. I thought they were carrier-specific, but wanted to make sure as long as I was updating my 6700, thought I'd update everything. I guess there is a limit as to what you should update though!

Schettj, here is a link to the lastest Sprint ExtRom. You can use the same methog to flash it. Just move the radio.nbf file out and put in the ms.nbf.

In the following instructions #3 never happened for me. I just want to make sure I did it right and it is ok.

Instructions:

1. Download and Install to the Device (its 280kb, but technically you already have this installed).
2. After the install browse to \Windows and find PPST.exe
3. Run PPST.exe and wait (not sure how long... a minute?), phone will say "no service" ... Don't worry this is normal.
4. Softreset
5. Start -> Settings -> System -> Device Information
6. Confirm new PRL 20225
You did it right. There is no msg that says no service. But if you would have tapped on your signal bar, it would have said no service. You should be setup just fine.

if I do this will I have to then again remove junkware, etc., and then hard reset?

but then I can simply run a spb restore file right?

Yes, this is the full Sprint ExtRom with all the crap. Do you have any ExtRom on your device now? If you are simply looking for a cab, I can post it. Or, if you can hang tight for a little while, I can put together a ms.nbf without the junkware.

Or, and this is mostly a educated guess since I haven't looked, you could grab Wideawake's custom 2.2. Get the one that says it has all the Sprint junkware removed. Follow the same procedure as in the first post and extract the installer. There should be an ms.nbf there and I am guessing that it is what you are looking for.

I just want to update my Ext. Rom(yes I have one rcurrently installed with junkware removed). I don't have the most recent- nor Wideawake's.

Whatever you feel is the best of what I'm looking for please steer me there.

TIA

If you have a second, list the cabs you have installed now in your ExtRom and I can tell you if you are missing anything.
