so with this AKU I assume that we follow the >2.3 instructions for the palm messing app. or is this some hybrid and we still need to copy the 13 files over.

It seems like there are some features missing from what *should* be in AKU3 (http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/art...m-aku-en.shtml).
"Wireless Modem" app should be replaced with "Internet Sharing"

I was also hoping for improvements to the Wi-Fi options. Currently you cannot connect to a WPA (Enterprise) network using MSCHAPv2 user-authentication (only cert-based works). I was hoping that would be fixed in this version, as user-based authentication on WPA networks is much more common. I can understand why we didn't get WPA2, as it requires AES encryption instead of TKIP, which the PPC6700 most likely doesn't have (its almost always in hardware), but I was sure hoping they'd at least fix the WPA stuff.

I also don't see any of the new Bluetooth options.

Overall, the upgrade is pretty nice, but I'm majorly bummed about the lack of Wi-Fi improvements. That issue alone was the only reason I wanted to upgrade to AKU3 (so I can connect to my corporate network).

chrismc "weird hybrid version" I think I am having this issue. I have the new features but the/control pannel/system/device infornation shows 2.11.20WWE still.

DO you know what I did wrong?

Nothing is done wrong! That's what the nk.prj was formatted to say since it came from a 2.2 .nbf but the .nba used in building this is 3.3 just encoded with 2.2s prj file. And other info that says different are set by extrom cabs.

With AKU3 you just install the cab and reset. No copying needed. You will have to adjust the network settings though, that's about it

I thought I'd give a some feedback / ask for your help.

I'm not sure if anyone else has encountered this yet but I can't get activesync to work with my exchange server anymore - has worked with 2 previous roms.

I've just flashed my phone from the standard Sprint rom to the beta AKU 3.3.
It boots faster.
There are some new communications buttons under settings.

Unfortunately ActiveSync doesn't work for me (although it might for others)

I installed my Exchange server certificate (as I have in the past)
Went to sync and I get error 0x8007000E - There is not enough free memory on your device to synchronize information. Close programs that are running to free up memory, or restart the device.

I have no additional programs installed since I made the flash update.
I open settings - system memory
Storage -43.5 free 35.60
Programs - 47.19 free 28.46
Only running program - activesync

But indeed - it is ALIVE!

You need to uncheck advance network services in that USB/PC connection settions thingie to get the old USB/Serial behavior. Sync is up and restoring away.

try syncing again I got an error my first time worked the second maybe it will for u. if not clear temp files and soft reset then sync.
