Understandable, I just figured that they would get tired of users of all of these different types constantly hounding them for Roms.

Ok.. so now that my upgrade has failed and I boot to the bootloader would you expect the upgrade to work?
OR.. do you think I need to load a working rom first and then manually start the bootloader an attempt again. I have tried loading the rom 3 times now and still no go. |

Installed and running!
Some initial observations: The Activesync mode program (as seen on your custom 2.2 ROM) doesn't function correctly; ie, the icon is displayed incorrectly, and the program fails to open (like a shortcut was left in place but the program was removed). However, there is a new "USB to PC" setting option under the connections tab, so I wonder if this does the same thing ... The ComManager has more options, like flight mode and IR switch. The Wireless Manager under the connections tab doesn't seem to add much to functionality. The Systray is back (never liked it in the first place and liked that it was gone from your custom 2.2). Aren't there simple regedits to remove the systray icons? The hard reset reboot has more options (like adding time); I can thankfully skip the tutorial on how to copy and paste! The device reboots as quick as it did in 2.2 The Contacts program is malfunctioning! When loading the contacts program, it opens for a split second then shuts down. Doh. This will need to be sorted out before I can use this ROM The SD card seems much more stable and fast; in fact, I can't even get the card to disappear/reappear when hitting power button (while running file explorer). I hope this will allow me to run programs from the SD card while the power is turned on/off. I will test it soon. I have hope that this may solve many DSOD issues (not that I had many). Overall, it seems faster. Since I love the changes you made to the custom 2.2 ROM, like the sounds and the Crossbow theme (and the regedits), I can't wait for your custom 3.3 ROM with those things added. I may try my own custom ROM using the 3.3 ROM, if possible. I am a little confused about the storage situation on the device. My first understanding of the ROM was that if I could make a Custom ROM and delete things I didn't want, like ppowerpoint, then that would increase the usable Storage Memory. But now I figure that the Storage memory is capped at 39.59. So, my next idea was that I delete the things I don't want, then place my own programs in the custom ROM. Is that Correct? So how much room is available in the custom ROM for the necessary files minus the files I don't want plus the files I want? Can't wait to get home to work on my own custom! |

ok in the aku 2.2 thread i cannot find the boot sprint logo files, I can swear the original post had several links for boot files for different carriers but now the post only has a link for the 2.2 rom. Anyone have the sprint boot logo files or know where I can get them?
