Re: Disappearing SD card

Since removing the file Mike said to remove from my device in file explorer, I haven't had problems with my storage card dissappearing. I think it was "intusil" something like that, I can't remember cause I deleted it.

Here is what I had in startup (6 files): HTC_CM_Guardian; bizconn/mailwatcher.exe; bizconn/pushclient.exe; poutlook.exe; sddaemon.exe; and spbservices.exe. How does this list compare to others with the sd card problems?

I am unable to install this...some help would be appreciated. I put the file ApacheAKU3.3 on my computer, put my device into bootloader mode, fired up the AKU3.3 program, it went through, then when it was reading information from my device, it brought up the screen to say what it was being changed from and there was no information whatsoever and then i clicked next and it did nothing, gave an error and shut down. It did nothing to my PPC.

WHY did you repost that?

I can't shake the miniSD problems. I've tried all suggestions here except the reg hacks.

Read this thread and let me know if it sounds familiar.

What was the error you got? Are you sure you were in Bootloader mode?

You know now that you mention it... I think the day after I unlocekd my Ext ROM I no longer had a SD Card... I had a bad install in my custom ROM I removed... It rebooted and lasted the night, but on reboot 2 or 3 (bad signal issues and a dead battery) my SD card was gone. I'm going to fix my Ext ROM and only leave the reg keys to unhide the Ext ROM and see how that does... I will NOT unlock it. If it comes back, I'll not unhide the Ext ROM (I store my common installs there that can't be placed in the Config.txt). I'll let you know.

What are you all using to unlocked/unhide your extrom's with? I used default_unhide_extended_rom.cab and have not had any problems with it or my miniSD...

I don't know if removing this file resolves the disappearing Mini-SD card issue (yet), but the exact file name that I removed is called itsutils.dll and it was in the \Windows directory.

***EDIT*** The file removed should have read itsutils.log and it was located in the My Windows Mobile-Based Device Root directory.
