http://ppcgeeks.com/how-to-customize...rom-t1395.html Thanks and I do and have accepted this site as the only one on the matter, I have been getting the answers I need, Wideawake has already help allot along with others, but there will always be the bad apple in the basket to make one go nuts. |

comparing ur config.txt to my original w/ junk removed (sprint), it doesnt look like you really have junk. wat you could tho is try to mod the cabs.
quoting MadManX, "Hum... Well I use WinCE CAB Manager and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 for most of my mods. WinCE CAB Manager has a very limited but fully functional trail avalible. http://www.ocpsoftware.com/products.php?nm=cecabmgr and Visual Studio I use at work and My home copy was a freebie for going to the MS Launch event. " Goodluck sir

maybe look here
I ran across this site.
http://www.zdziarski.com/papers/xv6700.html It leans much more toward Verizon. Good luck in your search. Or just join the Sprint band wagon. HA HA.... |

Firegeek,
Thanks for the link, there are some new reg edits here I did not know about and good info on the cab file in extROM. Actyally after reading that site and the links leading from it, that was exactly what I have been looking for, cab info, dumping and rubilding the ROM. Thanks again good find! Unfortunately work demands I stick with VZW, we get a discount on service and devices so Sprint Bandwagon is not an option. |

Ok I have done it, flashed the xv6700 and did not install any of the default cabs. Runn nice and smooth and I gain some extra memory. Only thing I had to do was manually set the dial out server.
I was worried and wondering which cab could be left out when all along all of them can. Thanks everyone for you help! |
