Have you tried to BT DUN to a laptop? Just to verify that the account you are trying to use has a Dataplan?
I too had this problem with connecting my XV6700 BT DUN to my wife's LG VX-9900 enV. I finally remembered that my wife did not have Web Access 2.0. Got that addede to her plan and i was able to connect.
Now I just need to figure out how to make it the XV6700 a WAP...
