PPC-6700 EVDO Rev.A compatible?

I was in my local Sprint store today and I'm lucky to have a guy there that knows almost as much as I do about my 6700. He's a huge fan of the device.

My area just went live with Rev.A this week and he told me that the 6700 is capable of taking advantage of the speed increase. I told him that I was skeptic, but he assured me.

What do you guys/gals think?
