[Updated:1/2]How To: Get AKU 2.2 on your 6700!

First I should warn that PPCGeeks.com nor me will not be held responsible if something were to go wrong. That being said its like any other update.....all you have to do is download the files from a link listed below. Extract them to the desktop open the the folder. Read the readme and run the .exe, same as the offical ones, BUT your PPC HAS TO BE IN BOOTLOADER MODE BEFORE running the .exe. (Hold power button, notes key, and soft reset) Big thanks to isamu49 for his script to replace the bootscreen and providing me with all the carrier logos! More thanks to come later......on the custom ROM.

Note: Upgrade CANNOT be done on a PC running Windows Vista, must be a XP machine.

Known Issues
- Video Mail not working, gives unknown format error

Update:12/13/06 Made it into one .exe file instead of a folder, and removed a few unneeded files.

error 120: country id error

it's updating now. when i ran into the error earlier (error 120), i didn't reset my phone afterwards. i left it in the "usb mode" and i updated it again from there.

nice find, I will add that to the first post....I was running my update from the bootloader screen, but figured it would update without.

I installed it but loks like the same old ROM to me.Does it add tools like the one in AKU3?
