that's a good ? and I'm not to sure 100% sure on the answer. but I do know spb backup will replace files in the windows directory, thus maybe replacing some newer ones? So I wouldn't suggest it. But I think the only thing really updated in the upgrade is the extended rom and radio.

well i'll be doing the ipgrade tonight... it doesn't hurt to do it, so what the hell... p.s. has anyone else done it and besides what's listed above are there any performance increases or decreases?

Hey we are in the same area, does this allow EVDO roming in Alltel?

nope no evdo roaming just 1x. and xclusiv no real changes except what's listed above....at least that ivenoticed yet.

man and I just did a hard reset yesterday , I guess ill do another and follow mike's how-to on the rom thing. so people don't forget to log on ppcgeeks chat tonight I might need help with something hehehe

One change I did notice is when you go to phone settings/services, it now only gives you two network options Home only and standard. Home only obviously is Sprint, but I assume that standard is First available (sprint or roaming partner?)

So this does include the Ring Through fix and some others?

If I have the ring through fix already installed and am having no issues with my phone is this new rom update actually necessary?

Also what exactly does it AKU mean? What all will that do?

Where so you see it Big daddy?

I go to Setting, Roaming and don't see that option. Can you explain? Where exactly you see those options for home and standard?

OK this is weird. I did a few soft resets after some regedits, and now I have the roaming instead of "services". That was weird.

So far, I like. It will be interesting to see if they have a bigger update down the road.
