NEW ROM AVAILABLE (11/27)! Sprint 6700 Update

http://www.utstar.com/pcd/downloads/...0_WWE_Ship.exe

(From Pdaphone.com)

? SD performs PRL match by matching only SID/NID and Mode for acquired signal/system.
? PRL roaming bug fix.
? DDTM turned off allowing voice call through when in a data session.
? Push-mail, voice call fix. The voice call is rejected when CE application attempted outgoing data packets. However, a 2nd voice call attempt would go through.
? Wireless Data Roaming - Support of data roaming on device
? Voice call termination will not drop tethered data session.
? Conference calling from Contacts fix.
? Intellisync lock-up fix.

Anything else?

:?:

doesn't look like an AKU update but merely fixes bugs, although that is nice too.

not what i was looking for but im fixing to give it a whirl ;) thanks for posting! looks like this is just a official release of the test rom u posted awhile back as it fixed all the same issues with a few minor bugs. :( no aku upgrade err....wonder if we will see a aku upgrade in the future....

Starting to look like 'no' to the AKU.

At least I couldn't imagine them taking this long to release these fixes and still plan on doing a full AKU update too.

Does this update cause a hard reset automatically? Will all my tweaks (which I've never written down to keep track of) be for nought?

I think all ROM updates hard reset your device, I could be wrong... but I don't think so.

dont know if anyone else has installed or attempted to install this as of yet but I just tried and now the unit is dead. when i put a battery in the unit it get a VERY faint USB on the top and 2.02 on the bottom nothing else and the pc cant see the unit. dont know what else to do besides call sprint.

Wideawake 11-27-2006 09:53 PM

yes it will completely wipe the device.

rmelle we can fix this its in the bootloader...try soft resetting but if the upgrade didn't work then it may just go back to that screen. if so just leave connected to pc it should say usb (very faint) and then rerun the upgrade and get back with me. ;)

Wideawake can you run this then use an spb backup from previous time and still keep the new update intaked. Since it is doing a hard reset can you still do the same procedure to remove programs from the aku2 that you don't want by soft resetting before the programs load?
