MP3 trouble

Every so often when Im listening to an mp3 on my 6700 the sound system becomes locked up. I.E. If I close the app and re-launch it the mp3 wont play and I have to soft reset.

I've used TCPMP, Ppod, GSplayer and other media players. I can't seem to narrow down the problem. Could it be my storage card? I use a 2GB Sandisk mini SD. I've tried formatting it in FAT and FAT32 and it doesn't make a difference. Some mp3s play fine, others cause a lock up.

What's the source of your MP3s? Could indeed be bad - sounds fishy tho. Could be the card as well - esp. if the unit powers off while the player still has the file "open" - if it tries to access the file right after power-on it may not properly wait for the card to power up, causing a hang/crash.

I've not personally seen this happen myself, and I do play mp3s off my card a lot (via tmpmp)

I think someone else posted a post about this issue already and the mp3 was tested on another device and it done the same thing....some mp3s just do that...
