Since the 67 already come with "WIFI", so what are you really trying to do? Need more info.

Say for instance...if my PPC 6700 is connected to the internet...how can my wireless card in my PC pick it up? Do you know how the PPC 6700 and wireless PC card interact?

That still doesn't make any sense. Wait...maybe it does. But this is the wrong way to do it.

Are you trying to connect your phone to the internet and then connect to your phone from your computer using WIFI to use your phone as a bridge to the internet?

Won't work. I am pretty sure you can't use WIFI and your data service simultaneously. Even if you could, though...this would be the hard way to do it.

I believe what you're looking for is called "tethering". You want to hook up your phone to your computer using your normal ActiveSync USB cable...then connect to the internet. If you're using a stock ROM, you're probably going to want to use the Wireless Modem. When you start it up and connect, your computer will see a new modem attached to your computer. Set up a Dial-Up Networking to call #777 on your phone and use your username and password to connect.

This is the hard way. The easier way is to upgrade to an AKU 3.5 ROM or preferably a true WM6 ROM. I suggest looking at either the kitchen or RobMayer's Clean, NoJunk ROM based on helmi_c's work. If you upgrade to one of these ROM's you'll get an app called "Internet Sharing". Just launch it and connect your phone to your PC using the cable. That should be all you need to do. The PC will see the phone then as a new network adapter and automatically set up networking to use it.

Cjbreisch is correct, you will have to tether (sp) the phone (phone connect to net via WiFi or Data through your carrier) and have the phone connected to your PC. A PCMCIA card has nothing to do with it and wont work in conjuction with the 6700. Now if you have service with a carrier for your PCMCIA card then you wouldnt need the 6700 to tether.

There are plenty ot threads on tethering so just do a simple search and I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

All and all....you want to know how to make the 67 a "Wifi Hotspot"?

I would try the network a "adhoc", from the computter with a "wifi stick" so that the laptop will pick up the "stick", but will be surfing via the conection on the 67 on the USB....does that make sense all through ICS.

Why do you want your PCMCIA card to connect to the internet to give the computer internet access if the 6700 is connected to the computer already and IT is supplying the computer with internet access?

In other words (unless you are trying to do something different) you cant use the PCMCIA card to make the computer connect to the net IF the 6700 is already giving a connection to the computer to use.

Wait.....I just re-read what you said and not I think it make a bit more sense (but not really). So you have a desktop PC that you wanna connect the 6700 to via USB and share the internet connection with right?

Then you have a laptop with a PCMCIA card that you want to pick up the signal and connection from the desktop just so that the laptop can connect?

The cellular wireless data connection rates are slow enough as it is. Are you trying to connect multiple computers off of ONE cellular data connection? is that what I am understanding or am I still missing something.

Explain everything and exactly what you are trying to do and expect to happen.
