Well the first thing would be to post in the 6700 forum and not the 6800 forum

Moved.

Just do a hard reset... Everything from your memory is gone.

HTC Apache / Sprint PPC-6700 /Verizon XV6700:

While holding both softkeys (buttons with “-“ on them), push in on the reset button once. Make sure you are still holding onto the softkeys. A confirmation screen should appear asking you if you want to reset all data. Press Y to reset, N to cancel.

Nope. A hard reset will erase everything on the phone's memory.
If you're including a memory card, make sure you re-format that as well before sending it.

Your telephone number will still be there. Otherwise, you would have to reprogram your phone every time you hard reset. Not really sure how to remove it.

A hard reset makes it a little harder, but not terribly difficult for them to get your info: http://www.trustdigital.com/news/media/AP_secrets.asp

If you want it completely gone you need to do a data wipe on it.
