I agree, you get what you pay for. I remember when I had a StarTac phone and I bought from "generic celled" or Japanese celled" batteries for my phone and they wouldnt last no time at all. After feeling bad about it I did try again wth some of the cheaper batteries for a Toshiba phone I had and got the same results. I have two OEM and one extended batteries for my 6700 but one the the OEMs is starting to not hold it charge. So when I DO buy another batter for it off Ebay it will be a STOCK OEM and not a generic battery.

I and some others hadn run an endurance test on the various batteries available, which was posted on pdaphonehome.com. Keep in mind that these two batteries are extended versions, which are bigger and require a new battery door.

That said, the slim lithium polymer batteries have been reported to have a better life than the OEM's - though I can't personally confirm it.
I am thinking of getting one of the bigger batteries, but I was wondering how much bigger they are than OEM. In particular, will they still fit in the OEM charging cradle if I leave the bigger battery in the phone?

Yes they will still fit the desktop charger but just will not fit 99%or any leather case and some hard cases.
