Also, when I just put in the letter "I", it will not capitlize it. Is it because DictEdit was removed? If so, where can I find it and where would it get installed in the ROM?

The only other issue I have is the ringer volume. It is much lower than 3.5. Tried the hacks and nothing.

Try this... it worked for me.

This will work for WM6 (courtesy of SprintMogul.net)

Increasing Speaker Volume

Try increasing the value in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Phone/"Vol"

Crank it up to 95000 (original value is 65535 and that increase the volume substantially, I don't know what it will max out at or how it will effect battery power (I don't even care, as long as the volume is louder).

i am running rob M's build 4 for sprint, but I had same results with helmi's wm6 when i ran that. Try to connect with the Advanced Networking box unchecked, then once you can sync, recheck, uncradle, recradle and try to see if it connects then, this USUALLY works for me

What ROM are you using? I"m still on Helmi's original WM6 for the Apache.

Rob, in build 4 for sprint, the "modem link" program shortcut opens to nothing, I'm not sure if this was also broken in earlier releases also (I think it was). You got a cab for this application? I might actually use the IR feature on this app

also I was wondering if we can see the sprint 1.43 radio upgrade sometime?

Thanks for all your other apps, they have been very handy.

Also, since you are removing MMS in the next version i hear, can you post the stock MMS cab in case we want to put it back on?

It usually works for me, too. But with the box unchecked, large file transfers will choke and hang about half way through. In fact, the whole connection chokes. To get the phone to sync again I have to soft reset.

BTW, the large file transfer are usually do to syncing with Windows Media Player on my Media Center computer - music and tv shows.

While I think radio 1.43 might be Ok.. can we have it separate instead of in the ROM itself? or can you easily downgrade the radio?

I've seen a bunch of posts where there have been some "inconsistencies" with the 1.43 on Sprint. I think Rob was even having some issues with 1.43 on Verizon ( i think that's his carrier) but then they seemed to have cleared up. I'm on the phone almost all day long and use it primarily as a phone so I don't want the radio messing me up.

*** Update on battery drain... I think it may have something to do with the volume tweak i have in an earlier post. I'm going to set it back down again and see if it still happens. Although funny thing.. I'm using bluetooth most of the time, so I'm not sure why it would drain with the higher physical speaker volume on the phone... Not logical. But the logic will come to me shortly.

i was gonna copy this over to the 'create-a-registry-cab" but then i saw your post above this one about a possible memory leak.

If you dont mind, just let me know if you find out whats causing your leak, and then i'll send this over to them for cabbing.... thx!

Any clue when rob's internet is going to be back? I keep checking this like every 10 minutes... a+ though, seriously.

Yah it's not a memory leak... I think my battery drain is something else I can't pinpoint yet as I changed my settings back and I'm still having the same issue with battery drain.

I'm still trying to figure it out.

Hey everybody,

I know there have been a lot of questions and posts lately, and I haven't been around for a little while to answer them all. But I do plan to catch back up on things and soon as possible.
Anyway, I have good news and bad news... so, the good news... my high speed internet is back! Crapcast shut me off even though I called in advance and told them my payment might be late. Figures, I knew they would, because they are idiots. Anyway, I paid most my bill and I'm back up now.
Now... the potential bad(but still good) news. I found so many bugs in build 5 that I am skipping it for carrier specific devices and moving right along to build 6, which is due before next week, or very early next week.
I'm sorry to keep you all waiting though, I've been pretty swamped lately trying to manage my website and answer a lot of emails, ect.
Lastly, to all those that have contributed... many thanks!! I really appreciate it, and not having to use rapidshare on my site is because of all of you. I managed to find cheap web hosting to share my files. Keep it up and there will definitely be more to come! Thanks again!

Rob
