Typing corrections not working

Just installed the WM6 No Junk version 5 and everything seems to be ok, except that when I’m typing on the keyboard words that are hyphenated (such as can’t, I’m, you’re, etc.) WM6 is not correcting and adding the hyphen where it needs to be. Also, when I just put in the letter "I", it will not capitlize it. Is it because DictEdit was removed? If so, where can I find it and where would it get installed in the ROM?

The only other issue I have is the ringer volume. It is much lower than 3.5. Tried the hacks and nothing.

Try this... it worked for me.

This will work for WM6 (courtesy of SprintMogul.net)

Increasing Speaker Volume

Try increasing the value in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Phone/"Vol"

Crank it up to 95000 (original value is 65535 and that increase the volume substantially, I don't know what it will max out at or how it will effect battery power (I don't even care, as long as the volume is louder).

i was gonna copy this over to the 'create-a-registry-cab" but then i saw your post above this one about a possible memory leak.

If you dont mind, just let me know if you find out whats causing your leak, and then i'll send this over to them for cabbing.... thx!

Yah it's not a memory leak... I think my battery drain is something else I can't pinpoint yet as I changed my settings back and I'm still having the same issue with battery drain.

I'm still trying to figure it out.

Hey everybody,

I know there have been a lot of questions and posts lately, and I haven't been around for a little while to answer them all. But I do plan to catch back up on things and soon as possible.
Anyway, I have good news and bad news... so, the good news... my high speed internet is back! Crapcast shut me off even though I called in advance and told them my payment might be late. Figures, I knew they would, because they are idiots. Anyway, I paid most my bill and I'm back up now.
Now... the potential bad(but still good) news. I found so many bugs in build 5 that I am skipping it for carrier specific devices and moving right along to build 6, which is due before next week, or very early next week.
I'm sorry to keep you all waiting though, I've been pretty swamped lately trying to manage my website and answer a lot of emails, ect.
Lastly, to all those that have contributed... many thanks!! I really appreciate it, and not having to use rapidshare on my site is because of all of you. I managed to find cheap web hosting to share my files. Keep it up and there will definitely be more to come! Thanks again!

Rob

Go Rob!!

Been waiting on WM6 for sprint P/M.
Also would like to see the Radio separate, as I've noticed issues and rely on my phone 24/7.
Hope I could help the process / access (isp) :b

still using kirvin's 3.5, it was kirvins 3.3 aku that finally made me get the phone. Kirvin if your still out there, I've got a much belated donation for ya!!
