My work computer is on a LAN, but I am using my public IP as the "Computer" on Remote Desktop. The "Domain" is blank.

That said, Remote Desktop works fine when it's connected to my work computer via USB. Of course, that's not really an ideal use of Remote Desktop :P.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can connect remotely?

Thanks!
It's extremely unlikely you'll be able to connect remotely to a work computer unless you are the network administrator or have VPN access. Most corporate firewalls intentionally prevent this type of access.

Re: Apache WM6 Clean, No Junk Version

make traffic on port 3389 go to the IP of the Terminal Server or remote desktop. To harden this to attacks, you can restrict access to certain IP addresses or, IIRC, mac addresses. This does vary by firewall, however.

BTW, i am THE network admin.

Re: Apache WM6 Clean, No Junk Version

Guys, just installed and everything works great. Thanks!

one question I have is about the Internet Sharing app. From reading other posts, it seems that as long as you remove the "rilphone.dll" item from the registry, Sprint can't detect that you are tethering and therefore the data usage goes through your standard data plan. That item seems to have already been removed from the ROM so there is nothing for me to. Just connect using Internet Sharing and I don't risk additional PIM charges. Can anyone please confirm this so I don't get stuck with crazy charges? Thanks!

Thanks for the response. Can anyone using Sprint verify they tether using Rob's 6.0 ROM and the Internet Sharing app and don't pay additional PIM charges?

Rob, I don't know what to say, except thanks....

I loved my 6700 when I got it a month ago, but your ROM is absolutely great...

I followed the directions that Rob posted on page 6 but I do have some questions... Here is what I am doing....I put my phone in bootloader mode and then plug it into my computer via usb. I run the app to upgrade it... it does not tell me anything about my phone before it upgrades. It is blank there...It tells me it is finished and then I need to hard reset.. then that lovely question comes up with Y or N ... (I am not certain which one to choose - sorry everyone... did I mention I was a newbie). Anyways, I have tried numerous times and it comes back cleaned out... but no WM6. I am embarr***** even to post this question (seems like I have written a novel)... and if it was answered in one of the other 67 pages... sorry! I got tired of reading... Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks all....

I have the same problem. I pressed Y and then Pressed space and yet it stays in serial black screen even when its connected to Usb.
I dont know what to do. can some one help me out.

Re: Apache WM6 Clean, No Junk Version

I was struggling all day on my Vista PC........somewhere along the way I read that I would have less trouble doing it on XP. So I tried it on XP, followed the instructions on the screen and it worked the FIRST time. So my 2.5 cents.....try on XP pc
