I believe I tried this with an earlier ROM. Doesn't work with Vista-64. I may be mistaken. I'll check again.

Vista-64 is a different story. The VistaRUU only works with 32-bit versions.

Exclamation

Robmayer: Theres a lot of stuff wrong with what you are doing.
Feel free to help others with reverting the bootloader if you are capable of doing it (instructions are included with the fix)
There is no problem with that. Do you even know what the commands in the instructions do?
This is the second time i have seen you beg for help for something and then publish it as your work.
Pay attention, we dont do that and we dont want credit for the work either (paypal or name recognition).
I am sorry to say but I see as you as an opportunist, how hard is it to do what you do that you ask for donations if someone has been helped by you?
Kindly take those instructions off your website as it is a conflict of interest with this website.
And if you feel you are up to the task, hell hang out in the chat room and help the multitude of people who come in there asking for help.
As far as i know renaming a file from bootloaderfix2.04 to bootloaderfix2.05 does not mean you created it or own it.

Just upgraded to v4. A couple thoughts.

First, so far, this may be the best ROM I've ever had on this device. Admittedly, I've only had it on for an hour, so I've not tested everything yet, but I love how clean it is.

Now the comments.
A) I like the fact that you didn't include SDHC support. I need it, but I've heard people with non-SDHC cards have had problems. I don't mind installing this piece myself. I have the .cab on my PC, so it's no issue installing it whenever I need it. This might be a good thing for your downloads section though.

B) Office 2007! Thanks!

C) Still appears to be HTC Home 1.5.x. I'm guessing that upgrade didn't go as well as you'd hoped. That's ok. I more than appreciate the effort.

D) There are contacts in my HTC Home dialer tab. Vision, Bryan, and Customer Support. Did I screw up and get those in there somehow, or are they in the ROM?

E) While I don't think the HTC Home Customizer should be in the ROM, could you add it to your download links, please? Thanks.

F) With v2, there was a "Documents" shortcut in my Start menu that opened up File Explorer to "My Documents" folder. That's gone and it doesn't appear that I can add it using the "Menus" setting. Is there a magic trick I can do to get that back?

G) I'm still having my issue with Pocket Controller, but I've narrowed it down a bit. It and ActiveSync appear to be fighting. It's trying to connect to the device before ActiveSync has completed its connection. I need to wait for ActiveSync to establish a connection before Pocket Controller takes over. I doubt you did anything with that, so I'm going to check to see if Pocket Controller has a support site. If not, I'll post something here. For now, I can set up Pocket Controller not to automatically start up, and I'm fine.

Ok, so that's 7 things. It probably sounds like I hate this ROM, but I don't. Other than my Pocket Controller issue, which I don't think is caused by your stuff, everything is teeny tiny.

A few weeks ago, I realized that my phone's almost 2 years old and that I can get an upgrade soon and I was a little nervous and excited about that. Now I have no reason to upgrade, and its thanks to the efforts of people like you and helmi.

I was pretty sure that's the case. Just make sure that's stated clearly. As a Vista-64 user, it's very irritating when I find something to download that only works in 32-bit and doesn't explicitly say so. I've wasted the download time and wasted some time trying to figure out if I've done something wrong, or if it's Vista-64 just being ornery.

As a side note, people running Vista who want to flash their ROMS can use a VMWare XP virtual machine if they have that available to them. I've flashed my last several ROMs using VMWare and it's worked flawlessly. I have a virtual machine set up thats for that specifically. That's all I do on that VM.

I'm using Generic V.4 - For some reason Windows Live is not working. I can't seem to get it to sync. Internet works just fine. Is anyone else having a similar problem?

Unhappy Lockup.. kinda...

Well I installed the newest one for Verizon and since last night its was doing good but everytime I soft restart the phone it all seems good but after a second if I open any application it loads and functions fine but if I try to close the app it doesn't work and seesm to sit there in a locked state. The odd part here is that after about 3 minuites or so it performs the close for me and exists to the main screen. I did load 3 things so not sure if its a compatibility issue and if anyone else has had any problems like this.
Apps loaded:
XCPUScaler 2007
Pocket CM newest version
Spb Pocket Plus

I have it all set up the way I want but think maybe I should try to re-load it again. Any advise would be appricated.

Thanks

PS the Rom looks great so good work there....

Oh One last question anyone know a way to transfer contacts to there cars Bluetooth setup ? I searched but had no luck finding how to perform this function or if its just something that should happen on its own.

MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE HERE ON PPCGEEKS WHO PUT THE ORIGINAL FIX TOGETHER!
All I have to say is wow. You come into the chatroom begging for help and then take the help that you were given and post it on your own site. WTF? This fix was kept on a one on one level in chat because there are many things that can and do go wrong. I hope you are going to be supporting this fix that you posted because it is only a matter of time before something goes wrong. Also, nice job on giving credit to those that put in the hours to get this fix to work.

Also, as far as I can see it, using this site to redirect people to your own site is a conflict of interst. It is being reviewed.
