When I installed Kaiser, It gave me two htc homes. It was pretty weird. I inunstalled Kaiser HTC Home, that when I looked at today config, It seemed like it uninstalled htc standard.

I had the same thing going. I had three tabs instead of 5 and I had two clocks. I hard reset the whole phone, and somehow, the old HTC home uninstalled, and I have the kaiser one now with the working weather. I had to reload everything else I had in there, (touchflo, cube, etc).

What am I doing wrong here?

1. Get into Bootloader mode - check.
2. Plug in USB cable, screen changes from Serial to USB - check.
3. Run APACUpgradeUT_noID.exe - check.

**4. Upgrader says "Checking the information on your device" but I can still hit Next, where the screen says "Your device is about to be upgrade from ... to ..." However all the version numbers are blank (for both the old and new).

Anyone have a suggestion? I'm getting a replacement unit tomorrow via warranty but wanted to try this ROM on my current phone in case I brick it.

That's normal behaviour if your phone is already in bootloader mode. Just proceed on. If your phone is not already in bootloader mode, you'll get a few of the fields populated - but sometimes the ruu utility has trouble switching you to bootloader.

Maybe rob can cook up a rom without the HTC home Plugin so you can add your own version.. I dunno, only the great Rob can say. I would like to try out the HTC Home customizer. I'm having all sorts of probs upgrading to kaiser home.

Hi, I love your roms, just went to B7 last night. I have a suggesting though, is there anyway you can cook the HTC home customizer into the rom? When I install my own it seems to not recognize that one is installed already and wants me to install another HTC home. I do like having the character count back on the text messaging though, that really helps! But I miss the data always on :P.

Well, I would except for the fact that I think the new version of HTC Home in B7 is incompatibile with the HTC Home customizer. I know someone else mentioned me cooking a completely stock ROM so that the user could install any HTC programs needed, ect. I may do that. But as far as I know the HTC Home customizer is incompatible, sadly. I miss it too though, especially being able to change the clock face. Of course if I do figure out any way to make it work I will put it into the ROM itself.
