That was not necessary. WM6 and later builds of WM5 all have that functionality built in (Settings->Connections->USB to PC).

I'm having the same issue with unrocognized USB device. My mogul worked fine and then out of the blue I started getting this error. I've tried all the advice in this forum to no avail. I've tried it on two other computers and still get the same error and my wifes mogul syncs up fine to my computer... Has everyone else been able to resolve this issue?

I feel retarded, I just spend 2 hours troubleshooting this problem.

Solution:

Start the ActiveSync app on the device and make sure it's configured
