My BT Headphones skip horribly when I use WIFI, but if I connect thru EVDO I'm golden. I used the BT music reg tweaks and it made the WIFI skip more frequently.

Lubix BT stereo headset, 1.14 radio, no change to reg.
Lubix is still tricky to connect but it's definetly easier with WM6 than anything else.
My main issue before was the high pitched squeel from the MS BT stack, but the squeel is now gone. I have zero skipping issues, once I get a good connection which sometimes involves disconnecting and reconnecting.
I did have a bit of crackling which was probably where the high pitched squeel would have been, so I upgraded from the 1.14 radio to the 1.41 radio and all is good.
Damn I'm so happy, no need for the Widcomm BT stack anymore.
BTW I use Mortplayer and AVRCP works perfectly

WM6 A2DPTweaker

EDIT...If you used my program before, please download and run this one. Under certain conditions a value may have been written wrong or not at all.
You can also manually check HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings\de fault and make sure the value says Value Not Set

I wrote this program to make all the registry changes to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings simple and fast.
UnZip and run from your desktop to install on your device. I can try to upload .cab if anyone wants.
Tested on ppc6700 only

When started all your current settings will be displayed. Write them down if you want to go back to them.

UseJointStereo can be set to 0,1 or 2

Bitpool and MaxSupportedBitPool can be erased with a simple unchecking of their checkboxes or if their boxes are checked the values in the text boxes will be written.

SampleRate is set at 48000 if checked, or erased if unchecked.

Press "Write" when you've made your changes and all settings will be written.
After writing values press "Read Registry" to make sure your entries were made correctly.
Exit program when values are written and reboot.
Works fast, except for reboots of course.

Strange that changing the registry without rebooting made your A2DP work right. I've had the same experience. I'm starting to think there's more to the A2DP skipping than just these settings. It seems that saving the registry after making any changes must reset it or clear some memory or maybe it's just turning your player or headset off and on that makes it work or not?
I can tell you though that if you're around any wireless crap like a phone, mouse, router that it's harder to make the A2DP work right. I test in my office and have different results with each change, but in my truck I can get A2DP working with a simple on/off of the bluetooth in the PPC.
Good Luck

At Whits End

Well I am now at my whits end with the BT stereo. I have read tons of posts have installed countless patches. Have upgraded my radio and have even went from WM5 to the new WM6, and can't get my tritton headset to work. If anyone has any ideas I will be in your debt. I really want to get this working. I have a PPC6700 that is running the new WM6 from Helmi. Thanks for all your help.

I don't know if this'll help but I'll give you a step by step that works for my Lubix Headset, you need a pause/play button for this.
I only had to pair my headset once and then the following routine works almost everytime.

Turn on phone.
Start music player of your choice that is know to work with AVRCP, I use Mortplayer
Turn on headset, my headset chimes up and doesn't activate any of the player controls.
then Press play again, my headset chimes down then chimes up and the phone makes a noise or 2 and the headset icon shows up on the top bar.
Press play on the PLAYER.
If all goes well the music starts.
If I get skipping for more than a couple seconds, I toggle bluetooth in the comm manager and turn the headset off and start again.
I find away from my house which is full of 2.4 ghz devices that connecting is almost perfect everytime.
In the house I sometimes need to try 3 or 4 times before I get a really good connection.
