I tried many many things, even the tornado fix, still skips like crazy,
Then .......... I walked out of range with my headsets for 10 minutes or so and when I returned and the headsets reconnected I was surprised to find, no more skipping. So wierd. |

today i went to a sony shop and bought this ds200 stereo handset.
1st i tried again with the ds970(this was a 2nd one). and it worked good for the music but not for the ph. it just wont work and the shop guy tried it on his sony ph and it didnt work there too.. finally he got the ds200 out and this worked right away .. all the buttons . on the ph.. i had voicecommand on and right away after pairing on clicking the bluetooth button it came alive and i called a friends name and it called away just like my previous wired handsfree. i was so happy and then the music worked pretty well right away till about 5-7 mts clear.. no skipping.. thank u helmi and all the team this is awesum ..u guys rock. and the sound in this headset seems pretty good. and the best thing is u dont look like a martian.. it seems like a normal handsfree. and u can get any headsets to work with it. u can wear it like a pen too. |

Jabra 8010
Quote:
I picked up the 8010 yesterday and have been trying some of the steps suggested. Right now I have it playing on the Jabra 8010 without skipping. One of the things I did install was the BTAUDIO file. I turn this on and start HTC audio manager and it plays without skipping. |

I have been working with Stereo BT and a Jabra BT620s for a while and was resigned to intermittant skips when listening. Just recently I switched to Coreplayer and was AMAZED at how well it did. All my skipping was gone and Coreplayer is even controlled by headset.
A few other really nice things about Coreplayer: PROS: - It pauses Streaming podcasts when a call comes in (unlike TCMP which mutes the sound, but continues to play - to the limit of the stream) - It is very easy to find the music you want to listen to (my music is nested in folders by artist and then album) Instant playlist. - It will play the playlists generated by Microsoft Voice command - IE "Play Everything". - Some of the audio files I have in WMA (variable bit rate) would slow down when being played over bluetooth with TCMP OR WMP.....no problems with Coreplayer. -Supports Album cover display like WMP does...(unlike TCMP) CONS: -Does not support the "flash Bundle" for streaming Youtube that is very useful in TCMP. -Once a file is playing either through A2DP Bluetooth or through normal channels, you must exit Coreplayer, change to A2DP or change out of it, then restart Coreplayer to get the sound output to change. -It is not free -I am having a hard time trying to make it an OEM - Something about "gx.dll is a folder not a file" error when compiling in the kitchen. One other "must do" thing I have found to get A2DP up and riunning is that I must turn on bluetooth on the 6700 first, before turning on the jabra Headset in order to hook up. |

Hey everyone.
I have recently upgraded my Apache to the WM6 hemli rom and I having issues with my Motorola HT820 headset. The problem is when I connect it will only play 2 seconds of sound then cut off. So far my solution has been to use the Broadcomm stack. I'm not too fond of it :-/ I would rather be using the built in stack. Any suggestions? I've tried everything listed here in this thread except reflashing the unit with the 1.02 bootloader. I have the 1.04. Thanks for any help! |

I too had the two second play, and then nothing. Had been using phone as mp3 player for about year and half with WM5. After reading this thread decided to troubleshoot and see where I could get. Using Helmi's latest Dec kitchen on a xv6700. At the moment I am listening to HTC player flawlessly through Spider Bluespoons (and definitely stereo) from a 2gig card. I had been trying different phone and headset settings (no registry edits). Unsure of what I did, but does prove that that it is possible to get great sound through the original configuration. I am trying to recreate skipping issue.
I am assuming that we are all pairing the headphones while the 6700 is in our hands. Curious if distance while pairing could play a part, don't know enough about BT to know why it would. I recall I had an issue when trying to use them a few days ago that I had to get a few feet from the phone before it worked right, but forgot about it til now) At the moment cannot recreate skipping issues (working great when paired each time) Here is things I do know to add to the general list on a working pair: BT phone portion connects no matter order of whether phone BT on first or headphones (worked this way even with skipping issues) although have no visual or audible indication of pairing, but will voice dial from headphones (although haven't really tested out phone functionality). Phone BT must be on first for headphones to pair. Headphones must sometimes be made discoverable to pair (but not always) . Powered down headphones and soft reset phone, still works past 10 minutes. Pause function works immediately, forward and back have about 10 second lag. Update: Next day, had same issue with two seconds then skipping, pausing... after 10 minutes of different things with no success, found that I could force pairing with stereo portion by holding selection for headphones in Bluetooth Settings> "Devices" and selecting "Set as Wireless Stereo". This did not solve issue, but then kept BT on phone on, turned off headphones, and returned them on making them discoverable. Instantly solved skipping issues but unsure if any portion of this actually is what did it, but will keep this updated next time it occurs to see if repeatable. Just a heads up for anyone interested:
I managed to fix the issue by downgrading my bootloader to v1.02 and then reflashing with "NoID". Worked perfectly ![]() |

I just bought a Plantronics Voyager 855. The first time I pair it, it works great -- tiny skip when I first start Windows Media player and that's it -- plays long, solid no problems.
But, if I turn the headset off and then turn it on again later, I get the skipping problem, even if I soft-reset the phone. However, if I delete the pair, re-pair, and start over, it works again. What could be happening that's getting triggered by turning the headset off, then turning it back on? (I've tried every registry edit I've found in this forum and on XDA with no luck...) Any ideas? kal |

I'm going to add that my problem has returned and i do not have A2DP again :0
I messed around with the registry and no matter what I do I cannot get it to work again even if I restore all the settings. This is very weird. |
