Red face work around bluetooth

until it is resolved, this is the workaround I have used all week

-turn on phone BT
-turn on headset BT
-goto Settings>Bluetooth>hold down my headphones name "Bluespoon Spider" in "Devices" tab>select "Set as Wireless Stereo"
I will get a headphone icon and will hear pairing sound from phone speaker
-turn of headset BT
-turn on headset BT only this time making it discoverable
each time I do this, I get the correct pairing noise through the headset and it works great, little bit of pain but fairly happy with this for now

I have no trouble getting the wireless stereo connection to show up, but I can't find a set of registry settings that work well twice in a row. I thought I'd hit on some with both BitRate and MaxSupportedBitRate set to 88, but that now seems to slow my system down so much that Slingobx audio gets out-of-sync with video.

And, even though the audio-video controls are working fine on the headset, pressing the main button no longer answers or ends calls.

I just don't get why the same settings don't produce the same results each time.

So damn frustrating....

Thumbs up bt stereo handsets

I've got this rom and it was a lil technique I used to get my s9 working. This is what I recommend that you do, pair up your bt device with your ppc. Then power off your bluetooth device and power it back on and it should connect automatically. For example u wanted to your s9 to listen to some tunes, start playing your music power on the s9 and magically it'll connect. If the skipping still occurs, soft reset your device and start over again. If you need in depth help just send me a msg and I'll help u as best I can.

I'm trying to listen to music from my 6700 through the S9, but no luck.

What gives? I’ve tried the Tornado fix, A2DPFix, BroadcomCorp fix, Reg hacks, you name it. But every time, all I get is one second of music, and then, just silence!!

The S9 pairs apparently well, I get the Wireless profile, Hands Free profile, I’m able to make phone calls, but no luck with either WM Player or Audio Manager.

Is the problem w/ my ROM? Or is it the S9? Has anybody been successful pairing an S9 to a 6700?? If so, please share.

Right after my post, I decided to give your fix a try, and behold!!! It worked!!! That simple.

I had tried everything, and I was about to give up. Thanks for all the time you spent tweaking to find this very simple solution.

I own an HT820 and I have the same problem.

I have had intermittent success with the built in A2DP stack, but nothing very reliable.

To everyone that is having problems, I recommend using the Broadcom Bluetooth stack. Search on XDA for it. I have been using it for over a month with no problems. It's not as clean as the Microsoft A2DP driver but at least it works.

I don't believe it! I've been trying (off and on) to get my headphones to work with my phone for almost a year without skipping! I've tried everything with no luck. I happened to see this message and BOOM!!!! It works great now! Something so simple!

THANKS!

Re: Helmi WM6 A2DP BT Stereo Thread (5.2.1620 Build 18125.0.4.2)

I just upgraded my 6700 to WM6.1 and can not get A2DP to work at all... I have everything loaded and A2DP shows in the registry. When I turn on bluetooth and my Logitech FreePulse headphones, and click add new device it never finds them. Have tryed everything I can think of, but I still can't get these two to pair. Any ideas? Thanks...
