Runt, thank you for your guidance, which helped me also figure out how to do it using the HTC customization utility.
Let me write those steps out for anyone else: 1. Go to start>programs>HTC Home Customizer 2. Choose HTC Options 3. Choose Tab Order 4. 6 is default, which is all of them. "Profiles" is the last, number 6, by default. It is the app that lets you choose regular ring, vibrate, silent or automatic. It appears all the way to the right in the default HTC Home screen. 5. Click on "5", telling the customizer you only want 5 tabs to display. 6. The Customizer will then let you choose the order of the 5. Order the 5 any way you want, just don't choose "Profile" as one of the tabs in the order. Hit okay and exit the customizer 7. When the plug-in restarts, the Profile (ringer choice) tab will be gone. Thanks again.

i have been noticing a problem with sending MMS/pix messages. If i take a pic and then click on the send button, i cant get to the MMS screen, the phone freezes. If i hold the end button i can get out of it and then go send it through MMS. kinda annoying.

CAB REQEST: CAMBRIDGE BTPROFILE:
Does anyone have a Cab for Cambridge BTprofile which is found in the Helmi_C aku 3.5 kitchen?? I searched all over in this forum and google, but no luck. I tried creating the cab with WinCE Cab manager, but after the install, there is no additional tab in the bluetooth settings. IF YOU HAVE A WORKING CAB FILE FOR THIS, PLEASE SHARE. Any help will be greatly appreciated. NOTE: THERE IS NO REGISTRY INFO IN THE RGU FILE(THE ONLY TEXT IN IT IS "REGEDIT4") |

My issues...FWIW
Now that threaded SMS is working and there is a workaround for WPA wifi, I've had a chance to run WM6 on my device for a few days. I'm having some of the same issues everyone else is having (volume slider not locked, HTC plugin issues, ect.). However, there are a couple of problems I'm having that I haven't heard very much noise about:
1. My battery life is MUCH worse on this ROM than previous ROMs. I have not changed anything with regard to how I use the phone (i.e., no data connection, very little, if any, wifi, moderate call usage), but I've had a chance to switch back and forth between my AKU3.5 (1.04) kitchen build and WM6 a few times now and the difference is very noticeable. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the way the device suspends. Anyone else seeing degraded battery performance? 2. Activesync is acting flaky. I've seen only a couple people report this problem. Basically, my device will connect okay to Activesync, but when I try to transfer files or install programs (from the installer), it gets stuck and then disconnects. However, the phone still thinks its connected, even if I pull the cable out. It stays that way until I soft reset. This happens about once every 4 or 5 connections. I've tried every combination/variation of USB/RDNIS and "Advanced networking..." I could think of, but no help. Hard reset and reflashing did not fix this, but when I am on my AKU3.5 ROM, it does not have this problem. |
