That said, I had two picture messages come in fine on the threader last week, right after a hard reset/reload. I actually prefer my MMS's in Arcsoft, but hadn't opened or initiated that app yet when the two messages came in. Once I opened Arcsoft and sent a test message to myself, the threader no longer hijacks incoming MMS. (FWIW).
Cool...thanks for the update. Do we have a link to the installables? I see the initial post have the links removed. I would like to dive in and play.

Thanks,
Steve

Cool

I have a version of Palm Threaded SMS that I personally removed all the MMS related stuff from it as far as how it grabs the MMS when they arrive. Works good as far as MMS goes. All of that goes to Arcsoft by default like it's supposed to. But, again, personally I like the new Extreme Text that is out now, and it works along side of the normal SMS so it should not have any side affects.

Not sure I can post the Palm CAB, but I'll put it on an FTP somewhere, and post link later if I can. But please, try Extreme Text. I like it.

Extreme sounds very good. I just downloaded the trial and will give it a go!

Please Help!!

I installed this program but didnt like it, so I uninstalled it and my left softkey still says SMS. But when I click it a message says not a trusted certificate. When I go to my message choices there is no option for texts. Just email and mms. Did I loose all my texts? I just want to go back to the way text messaging was before I installed this. Please help I cant figure this out.

Lenny,

What did you do to make the Threaded SMS program not try to grab MMS?

I don't know lenny's reason. For me it caused problems if I wanted to forward that MMS to someone else. Palm is not able to send the MMS even though it received it. So what I had to do was copy everything and paste into a new MMS on my archsoft, which was a serious pain. So I just ditched the Palm app altogether and went back to the regular text app(which I hate). So I am waiting to see if the kinks get worked out on the extreme and I may try it.

I don't think this will ever happen for our device. The original app was ripped from a Palm device, which was GSM, and the MMS portion simply won't work on CDMA devices. Many have tried everything to get it to work in the past, but no luck.

I'd be grateful (but extremely surprised) if someone can get it to work.

Problem with sms and this program

My wm6 phone after installing this app will not show the "From" properly. It takes the first 10 letters from the body and puts it into the from field. What's really odd is if you send a single character text message it will be the first character in the from field, overwriting the first number of the from address, but the remaining 9 characters are the rest of the from field.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I did search and the only answer I found was to reflash, hard reset, and not run customizations. I did this and still have the problem. But thank you for your extremely helpful suggestion.
