OK-- the problem is SOLVED about HTML email. Apparently the support pages for my online exchange server account are WRONG. They had me point the phone to a server that was not the 2007 Exchange server. So that's why the message type was grayed out. Once they provided the correct server name, I entered that into the phone and had to re-activesync. Now all the Exchange 2007-WinMo6 features are enabled and the message type was no longer grayed out but could be switched to HTML.

Its working great!

(I've already sent my paypal donation!)

I am going to be upgrading to this today and I have 2 questions for those using the sprint rom. Is the wireless internet access fast with WM6? Also with WM5 if I set the IE cache to be on my storage card, I would have to soft reset between IE uses. Is this bug still there?

Great work!

First of all, thanks for your hard work helmi. This is my first post on the PPC-Geeks forum but like probably a lot of us, we encourage your work by reading the post, downloading your stuff and speading the good news around.

When I saw the "Apache WM6 CE OS" thead on wednesday I was certain that somebody was asking the same old question : When WM6 will be available for my Apache ???

But I was wrong ! a half-human half-pocketpc named helmi, did it !
Since, I almost didn't sleep, keep coming up to see if helmi would have let go his hard work before the promise day.

Finaly, I flashed my device yesterday before going to work and it work like a charm. If my wife would have been wake up she probably would have say : your flashing your "thing" again ?...lol...Im kind of addicted to flashing my device...
but this is another story !

I've tryied a lot of thing since and I didn't face any special issues. I had no trouble with my 2Go SD or with my bluetooth headset, neither with iGuidance 4.0 and the Holux BT-236. I've voice record, took pictures, used WiFi, try Yahoo Go with the GPS and everything is perfect for the moment !

This Sprint WM6 "Helmi" ROM flash seemed to result in a 101 error after confirmation dialogue (you're going from this version to this version). Now it's not detectable via USB (ActiveSync), etc. It seems to be stuck in "bootloader" mode (Gray screen that states Serial/USB and Ver 2.02 at the bottom). I tried to run uni_exitbootloader.exe as it was recommended by helmi (diff. post) to bring a device out of bootloader mode - no success - error msg about "cannot open USB port..." even though I killed the activesync process. As ActiveSync doesn't seem to be detecting the device (when restarted) it's not possible to reflash or return to OEM ROM. I'm a n00b admittedly but none of the wiki pages or other forums seemed to address a scenario like this. Help, please?

Thanks,

The exact same thing happened to me. Unplug your phone, and plug it into a DIFFERENT usb port. It'll ask you to install a driver, and click on "continue anyway". After this is installed, then run the uni_exitbootloader.exe, and it will work.

Hope this helps, and thanks for the great software!

Martin, this update will not affect your prl. It is strictly an OS (nk.nbf) change and will not directly affect the extended rom, radio, or underlying phone files.
