Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

That's pretty much true. Premade roms really aren't satisfying once a good kitchen is available. A long time ago, kitchens were fairly daunting - they've come a long way in the friendliness department.

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

I've successfully used the BuildOS to create and flash my own ROM but where is this new ROM that I created stored? What folder is it in? How can I get to it and reuse it like the older style pre-cooked ROMs floating around with the .nbf file type? I may not always be able to use BuildOS every time and I would like to save my stable ROM creations.

I'm sure this is obvious but I've read many threads and I must be missing something. Thanks.

Also, if you find a setup that you like, you can click the save button, next to the play button and it will save that for you. Next time, you just open and you are all ready to cook, or modify. One thing I would suggest, is to rename it by going to file>Save.. then, rename it to something you'll understand.

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

I just flashed my phone to 6.1 using the instructions provided. Obviously things are different, but I have a problem with texts. It says that my account is locked and that company policy prohibits messaging on this device. Did I mess something up?

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

I think I know what I did wrong, nevermind.

I tried to recover my contacts and appointments using my old backup file from 6.0 and it messed everything up. I hard reset and used PIM backup to get everything back.

This was my first flash and right now it seems a bit laggy, so I think I will go back and fix a few things to get it right. I miss my HTC Home more then anything else so far. I need the big clock and the little bar that shows missed calls, MMS, and SMS.

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

Yesterday i downgraded my boot loader from 2.05 to 2.02 in the hopes of being able to have more space for my rom. After downgrading the size still seems relatively small. i can't get what i want into the rom and have it fit on my apache. Can someone post the max size that can be used and the requirement to be able to flash that size rom. a few saved presets with a good app set and maxed rom size for BuildOS would be helpful. Thanks SOO much for all the work here keep it up guys.

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

It took me 3 or 4 tries to get one small enough to fit. Just drop a few of the games or other unnecessary things.

Re: Is there a tutorial for installing WM6.1?

They should all be self-explanatory and/or preset by your kitchen, except for REV. For the Apache, REV should be set to your bootloader version (power+notes+reset, hold for 2 seconds, read the version # off the dark screen using a bright light)
