Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

People having the wifi problem. . I remember when the older version of WM6 came out there was a similar problem and this fixed it. Connect the wifi for about 10 seconds, then disconnect for about 5 seconds and reconnect. It works everytime. Not sure who originally figured this out or how but enjoy.

I have had the same problems wpa signals. I have been able to connect by hitting the power button and letting it sit for about 10 sec then powering back on while it was trying to connect then it would connect.

This is a real head scratcher, but it is working. If someone could explain how the WiFi problem is fixed with this I would appreciate it. I have been one of those that always has to know the why, not just the how. Thanks frobins...

We're looking into the wpa/wifi issues. Should have some info this afternoon.

Edit:
Fix will be available a bit later today.

As questioned in another thread about the apache - is it over yet? No way!! Thanks to the Team!!
Mine sees my WPA-PSK network, but never gets off of "connecting to network". Connects fine if I remove security.

Is there a list of the improvements / changes over the existing WM6 anywhere?
I'm with TonyDiv - is there a listing of improvements/changes, other than threaded SMS and zoom-in functions on IE? You can post your comments here as well:

Thanks!

Thanks for the awesome kitchen!

I had to trim quite a bit out from what I had in the last one, but it's all good.

One issue so far - the HTC audio manager pops up the following error:

The file 'AudioManager' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

I'm going to re-flash after work tonight and change some things. Hopefully that will fix it.

For those of you having trouble logging in from work I have a work-around:

Use Network Connection Sharing on your PPC and disconnect your PC from the work network.

I get this error after logging in, any ideas?

Yes, you loaded the wrong file. You want to load a selections file from the projects folder.
