Yes, but it has the v1.00 values for all bootloaders presently

You can - but 1.02/2.02 are the desired bootloaders, and 1.04 is same size as 1.02 (but it uses the older RUU, which means no_id RUU works, should you need that)

Though I found a thread on forum.xda-developers.com claiming 1.04 has the same partitions as 1.00 and 1.02).
Confused!
1.00 is about 2MB bigger than 1.02/1.04. It's a trade with program storage - 1.02/1.04 have 2MB more program storage than 1.00.

Don't know how to answer that. you can compare your old rom contents to new if you till have it...that'll tell you what the differences are, and from there where they came from.

Cool, so once I downgrade back to 1.02 I should be back to normal?

I found the thread for this (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=33076), but one of the download links is no longer valid. http://www.utstar.com/pcd/uts_downloads.aspx Do you have this saved on the FTP? (Or can you describe what was in this part. (I may be ok if if's a CAB from the original phone, as I have them all saved).

Thanks and pre-thanks for all the help!

-----------------------------------------------------

NEVER MIND - got what I needed. My phone is now 1.02.
I'm going to try to use the latest kitchen again now. Keeping fingers crossed.

Gervy.

Rom Too Large!!!

Still getting error messages while ROM is compiling....

"Compiled Size (0x3b80000) greater than Max Rom Size (0x38e5800).
Remove 0x29a800 bytes (2729984 bytes)."

And this happening during the compile stage, and NOT during actual ROM install to the phone.

What the heck man.
You've got a lot of big OEM's selected.
Take out the Diamond sounds and Ringers or any combination of 3MB of selections and it will complete.

Yeah, I was just about to post success. The only thing I had to remove was Diamond sounds and ringers. (What the fudge is so huge in there!!!!)

But honestly, I don't think it was just that, because I was attempting some rather bare-bones ROMS yesterday as well. I think it was a Gremlin thing (and yeah, I use that as a technical term when I fix servers, etc... LOL).

It also helped when I figured out how to use the ROM size estimator thing.

I'm seeing this issue (file create error on PPCGeeks_OEM.rar) on two different systems, my laptop (XP) and my home system (Vista 32).

I've tried using the updater and downloading using the manual links multiple times.

I'm not select "Vogue Camera", because I have an Apache.....

Any ideas?

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Hi All,
I apologize if this question is old news and has been answered already. but I have looked threw about the first 100 pages of this thread and did a search for Battery and a couple others, and still have not seen any answers....so here goes!
Did anyone ever find a solution for the excessive battery drain that some were having with this build? I upgraded from 5.0 and put this on my phone a couple months ago, and immediatly my battery life was cut in half! I notice it really bad when I use the phone....it really drains quick! I was following this thread for a while and people where thinking that maybe one particuler app might be causing this and were trying to narrow it down, but then I got really busy and didnt see the outcome.
Any help would be greatly apreciated,
Thanks in advance,
0Gravity

There is an OEM you should select- I forget the exact name- but it refers to battery savings.
I think that it's just a reg file, but it might have other settings adjustments.
I keep a copy on my SD card. Feel free to use the attached.
My battery does pretty well.

Thanks for the reply...I would have to look for that OEM next time but as for the registry file you attached, I looked at mine and all those settings are already in there.
Thanks again,

I'm about to update my Apache from roughly 70 days ago. Noticed the additional versions of MSVC (had problem last time around). Is the newest MSVC working fine with Apache or do I stick with the old one?

Any other additions I should think about?

Interested to know what the new HTC Home, dialers, and calc's look like.
