A few issues

First off, I have to say this kitchen ROCKS! I've ran into a couple of issues.. but for the most part it's awesome.

My usage is definitely not the norm. After a couple of years of faithful service, I've decided to go back to a regular "phone", so I've upgraded to a Moto ic902. I'm planning on keeping my 6700 as a PDA, however, as my standalone PDA is a dirt old crappy iPAQ. Because of this, in the kitchen I mainly included WiFi/PDA features and skipped on the phone features.

Everything seems to work except:

- FTouchFloConfig in Settings->Personal doesn't do anything.
- Programs->FTouchFlo says "FTouchFlo is already running", yet nothing shows up under Running Programs?
- PPC6700 Hacks errors: "The file 'PPC6700Hack' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem presists, try reinstalling or restoring this file".
- Same for "VoIP Setup"
- Sprint TV says it's not found. Although I've never had Sprint TV on my 6700 before, so...

Other than that, everything else seems to work awesomely. Attached are my selections. Thanks!

More than likely you didn't specify your carrier in the customizations list, so when you first booted the carrier-specific customizations ran from the ExtRom and hosed your setup.

I just cooked the rom today, the only thing I added was the SPB Phone Suite (reg'd) My only issue with it this far is..

Whenever I send or recieve a message (txt or mms) and read it (or compose and send) the dialer screen pops up... I am pretty sure I selected either the RAF black silver dialer or the HTC Vogue.. Otherwise I'm loving this kitchen!

The top row of letters on keyboard only work as numbers.

This is happening in different areas but not all. It is working correctly in contacts but not in Live Search on the Today screen and after several attempts at passwords on the internet, I finally realized that the problem was capital letters were being typed as if the caps lock was on and so hitting the shift key between each letter I finally got it working. Yet going to the contacts area it worked correctly. Maybe I'm doing something dumb (probably).

Also, does anyone know how to set the Sanyo clock download to 12 hour time?

Anyone having sync issues? I decided to take another stab at the WM6 rom and live with the hanging password screen issue. However now my phone will not charge or sync with my PC.. It will however charge via the AC adapter.

I think this is the final straw with this phone. Probably going back to a 3.5 rom or maybe even the stock rom till I can replace the phone with something else.

I can confirm the simple PIN lock up after a soft reset. I have a 4 digit PIN and it locks nearly every time after soft reset. I've not had it lock otherwise though. I've not found a pattern, but sometimes it takes many tries to get back in!

Anybody find a work around for this yet?

I am assuming you are connecting via usb right? Make sure Allow USB Connections is checked under Connections Settings.

The top row numbers problem is due to typing on the today screen. When on the today screen, the 6700 assumes you are trying to dial a number when using the hard keyboard, and does not allow you to use the letters. As far as I know, it is not fixable, and you must use a SIP when on the today screen.

I found a potentially worse problem than the PIN lockup issue:

Others have noted that when changing batteries they've had to hard reset because they are locked out (password inexplicably changes)

BUT, after I restored using SPB Backup on my phone without a pin, it reboots to a complex password screen, and I cannot get in due to "invalid password". Tried it twice and hard reset is the only way... I even tried with the "do not reset device password" option checked in SPB before restoring. I also tried just restoring a couple of simple files, without checking the system or reg boxes. Now I'm afraid that using the backup utility is near useless because I'll need to hard reset the changes away, and am wary of testing any other products like sunnysoft or sprite in case the issue is with the kitchen and not the backup utils.

Any thoughts?
