Sounds like your USB isn't working. I know guru already said that but it bears repeating. Does your computer have any reaction such as an alert sound or a popup bubble in your tray when you connect the USB? Here is someting for you to test. I am attaching a cab for WM5torage. If you don't already know, it is a program that allows your PC to view your storage card as a mass storage device when you plug your phone to your PC. Email it to your phone since you evidently cannot get anything on your phone though your USB connection. Install the program. Start the program and hit activate. When you plug your USB to your phone and PC it should recognize it as a mass storage device allowing you to access your files on the storage card that is installed in your phone (assuming you have one, if you don't disregaurd this post). If your PC finds the card then you shouldn't have an issue with your USB. Just reinstall active sync 4.5 and try again. If you can't access your storage card with this program then it is a pretty safe bet that you have either a bad mini USB on your phone, a bad USB on your PC(not likrly since you have tried 2 diff PC'S) or a bad USB cable. Just try this test and report back.

Using WM5torage I get an error "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned."

I suspect it still has something to do with the ROM as this isn't the first time I have flashed roms, and this only happened immediately after flashing to WM6. Maybe the combination items I picked was bad or something.. I guess I will try and reflash it tonight.

Yep, Jranger, it doesn't. That's S2U2. Normal behavior.

Not sure if the connector is dieing or what, but it sure is annoying.

Make Media Player Rotate on FullScreen

I know this is not really a bug, but it is something that has been driving me crazy. When playing a video in Media Player, if you switch to full screen, in WM6 it wouldn't rotate the screen automatically anymore like it used to in WM5. Instead, it would just maximize without using the entire screen. Manually rotating the screen or opening the keyboard so I could use the entire screen to watch video had been driving me insane.

Anyway, searched around here and other places for a fix, but couldn't find anything, so I started messing around, and I've got it figured out:

Make the following change to the registry:

Navigate to HKLM/System/GDI/Rotation
Edit the DWORD Value "LandscapeMode" Default value is 0
- If you set it to 1, screen will rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise when you hit the fullscreen button in Media Player.
- If you set it to 4, screen will rotate 90 degrees clockwise when you hit the fullscreen button in Media Player. This is my preferred setting because the screen rotates the same way it would if you were to slide out the keyboard.

Hope this helps someone besides myself who was annoyed with having to manually rotate the screen before starting a video.

Enjoy,
minazaki

Updated version by BtT with the modified DLL included:

I now use WKTask 1.1.7.0 and find it much better than HTC task manager. Now I don't have any hangups on my phone.
Any other fixes for this yet? installed the HTC Home plugin (latest version) and the HTC task manager from the kitchen and when my 6700 boots up IF i try to access the Task Manager it will lock up.

*edit*
nvm, i found if i wait a few minutes for it to fully boot, then all works fine.

Holy Smokes!

You need some kind of award! Setting the value to "4" seems to have done the trick ... have to keep watch and see if it goes through a few soft resets.

Again, thanks.
